The Paralympic Games or Paralympics, also known as the Games of the Paralympiad, is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of disabilities. There are Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, which since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, have been held shortly after the corresponding Olympic Games. All Paralympic Games are governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

Carlee Beattie is an Australian Paralympic athletics competitor. A congenital arm amputee, she won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and a gold medal at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in the Women's Long Jump. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Ola Abidogun is a British athlete who competes in T46 sprinting events. He competed for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, and was part of the British team at the 2012 Summer Paralympics where he took bronze in the 100m sprint. He has won multiple medals at the junior level and as a senior won a silver in the 2014 European Championships.

Cyprus sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. This was the island country's eighth consecutive appearance in a Summer Paralympiad having made its debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics. The Cypriot delegation to Rio de Janeiro consisted of two athletes: sprinter Antonis Aresti and short-distance swimmer Karolina Pelendritou. Aresti placed sixth overall in the men's 400 metres T47 event and Pelendritou came fourth in the 100 metres breaststroke SB13 competition after losing the bronze medal by 20 cm (7.9 in) in the final.
Anna Grimaldi is a New Zealand para-athlete, primarily competing in the long jump and sprint events. She has won two gold medals at Paralympics in the women's long jump: at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, and at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo.
The 2017 World Para Athletics Championships were a Paralympic track and field meet organized by World Para Athletics, a subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee. Alberto Caroly Abarza Díaz is a Chilean Paralympic swimmer who competes in international elite events. He is a triple Parapan American Games champion and a four-time World silver medalist. He competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, winning a gold medal and two silver medals.
Amy Watt is a Canadian-American former Paralympic athlete who mainly competed in the long jump in international level events. She was born missing her left arm just below the elbow due to amniotic band syndrome. Watt competed for the United States at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. She competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Long jump T47 for Canada, placing fifth. Watt decided to retire from international Paralympic competitions after Tokyo 2020.
Brittni Mason is an American Paralympic sprinter. Born with Erb's palsy limiting her movement in her left shoulder and arm, she has won gold medals in the 100 meters at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships, mixed 4 × 100 meters relay at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, and the 200 meters at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, under the T47 class.
Kumudu Priyanka Dissanayake Mudiyanselage is a Sri Lankan paralympic track and field athlete who is also a current world record holder in women's 200m T45 category. She made her first Paralympic appearance representing Sri Lanka at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Haideé Viviana Aceves Pérez is a Mexican Paralympic swimmer who competes in international swimming competitions. She is a Parapan American Games champion and five-time World bronze medalist, she has also competed at three Paralympic Games where her highest achievement was finishing in sixth place in the 50m freestyle S3 at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, she competed for Mexico at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Vicente Enrique Almonacid Heyl is a Chilean Paralympic swimmer who competes in international swimming competitions. Almonacid is a Parapan American Games and World champion in the breaststroke, and was the first Chilean swimmer to win a World title. He competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, where he finished in eighth place in his final.
