Amanda Kotze (born 26 February 1986) is a retired South African sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres.
Individually she competed at the 2003 World Youth Championships and the 2004 World Junior Championships, [1] then finished sixth at the 2006 African Championships and competed at the 2007 All-Africa Games without reaching the final.
At the 2004 World Junior Championships she also competed in the 4 × 100 metres and the 4 × 400 metres relay. The team with Kotze as a member also competed in 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2005 World Championships and the 2006 Commonwealth Games, won the gold medal at the 2006 African Championships and silver medal at the 2007 All-Africa Games.
Her personal best time was 52.76 seconds, achieved at the 2007 All-Africa Games. [1]

Maritza Correia, also known by her married name Maritza McClendon, is a former Olympic swimmer from Puerto Rico who swam representing the United States. When she qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in 2004, she became the first Puerto Rican of African descent to be a member of the U.S. Olympic swimming team. She was the first female African-American swimmer for the United States to win an Olympic medal. She also became the first black American swimmer to set an American and world swimming record.

Louis Jacobus van Zyl, better known as L. J. van Zyl, is a South African athlete competing in the 400 metre hurdles. He is the South African record holder in the event with a personal best of 47.66 seconds, which he achieved twice, three months apart. His time ranks him in the all-time top 25. He is a three-time African Champion in the event and competed for his country at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
Amantle Montsho is a female sprinter from Botswana who specializes in the 400 metres. She represented her country at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics, reaching the final at the latter edition. She was the first woman to represent Botswana at the Olympics. She has also competed at the World Championships in Athletics and the IAAF World Indoor Championships, and is the former World Champion over the 400m, winning in a personal best time of 49.56 in Daegu.

Shellene Williams is a retired female track and field sprinter from Jamaica. She specialized in the 200 metres and the 400 metres. Her personal best time in the women's 200 metres was 23.50 seconds, achieved in May 2004, and her 400 m best was 51.94 seconds, set in June 2004. Williams won a bronze medal in the women's 4×100 metres relay at the 2003 Pan American Games, alongside Lacena Golding-Clarke, Judyth Kitson, and Danielle Browning.
