It reached number 4 in the US during a chart stay of 46 weeks, and was eventually certified platinum by the RIAA. It is considered to be one of the earliest examples of a rock concept album.

All of the band members use pseudonyms and previously wore their own unique mask, most of which were based on the common hockey goaltender design. The band currently consists of five members: J-Dog, Funny Man, Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, and Danny. They released their debut album, Swan Songs, on September 2, 2008, and their live CD/DVD Desperate Measures, on November 10, 2009. Their second studio album, American Tragedy, was released April 5, 2011. Their third studio album, titled Notes from the Underground, was released on January 8, 2013.

Brought to fame as a member of the rap rock band Hollywood Undead, Deuce departed from Hollywood Undead in 2010 and has since moved on to solo work through the label "Five Seven Music", a branch of Eleven Seven Music. He was formerly involved in a movement with fellow rapper Truth called "Nine Lives". Deuce released his debut album of the same name on April 24, 2012, which sold 11,425 copies in its first week. Deuce has also collaborated with artists NXTREADY, Ronnie Radke, Brokencyde and Blood on the Dance Floor.
"No Bullshit", also stylized as "No BS", is a song by American recording artist Chris Brown, released as a single from his collaborative mixtape with rapper Tyga, Fan of a Fan (2010). The song was originally recorded to be included on Brown's previous mixtape In My Zone (2010), but was later included on his fourth studio album F.A.M.E. (2011). Musically it has been described as an "R&B slow-jam", while lyrically the song explores sexual themes, with Brown encouraging a woman to come back to his apartment in the hope that she will "do it all night". "No BS" was written by Brown, Kevin McCall and produced by Tha Bizness. The song received comparisons to works by Jodeci and R. Kelly, for its similar musical direction.

It is the band's sixth overall single in their discography. It is also the first media released by the band without vocalist/producer Deuce. The track was released to radio on December 13, 2010, with a digital download following a week later on December 21. The official music video was released on February 25, 2011. A remix was featured on the band's American Tragedy Redux remix album. This was also used as the theme song for WWE's Raw 1000 on July 23, 2012.

The original version of the single is used on Deuce's first solo studio debut album Nine Lives, which was released on September 4, 2012. Formerly signed to Quality Control Music, Isom is best known for his song "Crunk Ain't Dead", which received a remix with fellow Memphis rappers Juicy J and Project Pat, as well as Atlanta rapper and record producer Lil Jon. He released his debut studio album, Duke Nukem, on February 26, 2021, which debuted at number three on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
