The American Heartland Theme Park is a planned theme park in Vinita, Oklahoma. The park is part of a 1,000-acre development with the park being 125 acres and costing around $2 billion US. The park is scheduled to open in 2028. [1]
By September 2024, construction had halted due to financial issues, with the project's budget increased from $2 billion to $2.5 billion. [2]
Created by former Disney Imagineers, American Heartland will consist of six themed lands, which will be Liberty Village, Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, and Electropolis. [3] [4] [5] The resort will also include a 300-room hotel, a water park, a dinner theatre, an amphitheater, a swimming pool, a clubhouse, and an RV park. [5] The RV park, Three Ponies RV and Campground, will consist of 750 RV spaces and 300 cabins, and is scheduled to open in 2028. [1] The park was originally set to open in the fall of 2026. [5]

Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Universal Orlando Resort, often shortened to Universal Orlando, is a 1,291-acre (522 ha) theme park and entertainment resort complex located in Orlando, Florida. Following the opening of Universal Studios Florida in 1990, MCA moved forward with plans to expand from a single park into a large resort hoping to compete with Walt Disney World. In 1999, a second theme park called Universal Islands of Adventure opened in addition to Universal CityWalk, a shopping promenade and nightlife district that incorporates a variety of themed hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets. A third park, 30-acre (12 ha) water park Universal Volcano Bay, was added in 2017, and a fourth theme park, Universal Epic Universe, is scheduled to open in 2025.
Walt Disney Studios Park is the second of two theme parks built at Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France. which opened on 16 March 2002. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Experiences division. Upon opening, it was dedicated to show business, movie themes, production, and behind-the-scenes, but in the 2010s, in a similar manner to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida, it began to distance itself from the original studio backlot theming and entered a new direction of attraction development inspired by iconic Disney stories. The park is represented by the Earffel Tower, a water tower with Mickey Mouse ears similar to the one formerly located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which in turn was inspired by the water tower at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California.

Port Disney was a planned Walt Disney resort spanning 443 acres (179 ha) surrounding Queensway Bay next to the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California, United States. The property was going to feature a marine-themed amusement park, a marina, a cruise ship port, a specialty retail and entertainment area, and hotel accommodations. The land it would occupy housed the RMS Queen Mary and the Hughes H-4 Hercules aircraft, both of which were obtained by Disney in its acquisition of the Wrather company in 1989.

The Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District is a privately funded entertainment complex scheduled to open near Houston, Texas, in the United States, in the 2020s. The district will consist of eight venues: the Grand Texas Theme Park, Big Rivers Water Park, a retail center called Grove Factory Outlet, Downtown Texas, Speedsportz Racing Park, Grand Texas Sportsplex, Gator Bayou Adventure Park, and Grand Texas RV Resort.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was a Star Wars-themed two-night live action role-playing/choose-your-own-adventure operated by The Walt Disney Company between March 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023. The experience simulated a cruise in outer space within the Star Wars galaxy, and took place in a building located next to Disney's Hollywood Studios, in the Epcot Resort Area of the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. It was thematically linked to the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
World of Frozen is a themed area based on the Frozen franchise. The land opened at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 20, 2023 and at Tokyo DisneySea under the name Frozen Kingdom on June 6, 2024. Walt Disney Imagineering is developing a third version to open at Walt Disney Studios Park.
Universal Epic Universe is an upcoming theme park under construction in Orlando, Florida. Scheduled to open on May 22, 2025, Epic Universe will be the third theme park and fourth park overall to open at Universal Orlando. The park is part of a larger 750-acre (300 ha) development and will feature five themed areas named Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.
