The Creek Drank the Cradle is the debut studio album by American musician Iron & Wine. It was released on September 24, 2002. The vinyl LP release came with a bonus 7" vinyl single. The promo CD for this album was released in a cardboard sleeve with alternate artwork.

The standards of sound quality (fidelity) and music production have evolved throughout the decades, meaning that some older examples of lo-fi may not have been originally recognized as such. Lo-fi began to be recognized as a style of popular music in the 1990s, when it became alternately referred to as DIY music.
Lo-Fi-Fnk is a Swedish electropop-band formed in 2001 consisting of Leonard Drougge and August Hellsing. They have released two EPs, We Is in 2002 and ...And the JFG? in 2005. On April 24, 2006 they released their first studio album, Boylife. Since then they started touring the world, and in 2008 they started working on their second album, The Last Summer, which was released in August 2011. According to music website Stereogum a third album is due for release in 2015.
Julie Campbell, known as LoneLady, is a solo artist from Manchester, England. Her music is influenced by the post-punk era, later integrating dance and funk influences. She first started making music on a 4-track cassette recorder in her towerblock flat in Manchester while completing a Fine Art degree. LoneLady's stark, early first gigs featured Campbell alone playing electric guitar along to a drum machine. This would later evolve to a 4-piece band live.
