Amey Pandya (born 3 September 1998) is an Indian actor who rose to prominence as a child artist in Hindi cinema and television. [1] He is best recognized for his portrayal of Rahul in Sooraj Barjatya's romantic drama Vivah (2006). [2]
Amey was born in Mumbai. He attended Children's Academy in Kandivali. Despite early success in acting, he prioritized his education, expressing interest in pursuing software engineering to follow his father's career path. [3]
Pandya made his acting debut in 2005 with the popular Star Plus serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , playing the character young Eklavya Virani. [4] During this period, he became a prolific face in Indian advertising, appearing in over 150 television commercials and print campaigns for major brands including Surf Excel, McDonald's, Dabur Honey, and Alpenliebe. His major film breakthrough came in 2006 with the romantic drama Vivah , where his performance as Rahul earned him widespread recognition. He followed this with roles in significant Bollywood productions such as Partner (2007) and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007). [5]
In 2010, Pandya appeared in two major projects: Yash Raj Films' Lafangey Parindey , where he played Bablu Mane, and the live-action/animated film Toonpur Ka Superrhero as Kabeer.
