Abhirami (born 16 March 2000), widely known as Ammu Abhirami, is an Indian actress who has appeared in Tamil and Telugu films. She made her silver screen debut with Bairavaa (2017) and did pivotal roles in Ratsasan (2018), Thambi (2019), Asuran (2019) and attained popularity. Abhirami debuted as Lead in Adavi (2020) Tamil Film.

Early life and family

Abhirami was born on 16 March 2000, to a Tamil speaking Iyengar family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. [1]

Career

Abhirami's first releases were Bairavaa (2017), En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom (2017) and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), where she portrayed supporting roles. [2] She then portrayed a schoolgirl who faces trouble in Ratsasan . Later she reprised the same role in the film's Telugu remake, Rakshasudu (2019), featuring alongside Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran. [3] She appeared in Thuppakki Munai (2018), playing a teenage girl who was raped and murdered. [4]

In 2019, she appeared in Vetrimaaran's drama Asuran (2019), where she featured in a leading role opposite Dhanush. Ammu was selected after being recommended by producer S. Thanu, who she had earlier worked with on Thuppakki Munai (2018). She portrayed the role of Maari, a schoolgirl in rural Tamil Nadu during the 1960s. [5] [6]

Uthara Menon is an Indian costume designer, who has worked in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries.

Vinod Sagar is an Indian actor and dubbing artist working in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema, playing mostly supporting and antagonistic roles. He made his debut with Idhayam Thiraiarangam (2012) and played almost 20 small roles before getting noticed in Pichaikkaran (2016) and Ratsasan (2018).

Teejay Arunasalam is British playback singer and actor who has worked in Indian cinema, particularly Tamil language films. After making his acting debut in the Tamil film Asuran (2019) alongside Dhanush, he has also appeared in significant roles in Thatrom Thookrom (2020), anthology web series Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa (2022), and in Pathu Thala (2023) with Silambarasan.
