Chumbawamba were a British alternative band that formed in 1982 and ended in 2012. The band constantly shifted in musical style, drawing on genres such as punk rock, pop, folk, and experimental. Their anarchist or libertarian socialist political stance exhibited an irreverent attitude toward authority, and the band have been forthright in their stances on issues including animal rights and pacifism and later regarding class struggle, feminism, gay liberation, pop culture, and anti-fascism.

The Completion Backward Principle is the sixth studio album by the American rock group The Tubes. It is the group's first for Capitol Records. It was accompanied by a long form music video release of the same name, although it did not contain all of the songs from the album. It is a concept album presented as a motivational business document. The album contains two hit singles, "Don't Want To Wait Anymore" and "Talk To Ya Later."
CKY is an American rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. Formed in 1998 by lead vocalist and guitarist Deron Miller, guitarist and backing vocalist Chad I Ginsburg, and drummer Jess Margera, the group currently features Ginsburg, Margera and bassist Matt Deis. CKY found initial recognition through its musical contributions to the CKY video series and the TV series Jackass, both of which featured Margera's brother Bam. The band self-released its debut album Volume 1 in 1999, featuring a number of songs from the CKY videos.

Argue with a Tree... is the first live CD/DVD by Blue October, and their fourth CD overall. The title of the album is a lyric in the song "Weight of the World". The album was recorded live on June 4, 2004, at Lakewood Theater in Dallas, Texas, and released as a double CD and DVD in the United States in September 2004 by Brando/Universal Records. The set includes live versions of songs from all of Blue October's studio albums at the time, as well as the then unreleased tracks "PRN" and "18th Floor Balcony", and early versions of "Weight of the World" and "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down". A studio version of "PRN" was eventually released in 2015 on Ryan Delahoussaye's solo debut Tufstrings. "18th Floor Balcony" and "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down" were released on Foiled in 2006, and "Weight of the World" was the opening track on 2009's Approaching Normal. Argue With a Tree... is the only Blue October release to feature bass guitarist Piper Skih.

Worlds Apart is the fourth studio album by the Canadian neo progressive rock band Saga and was originally released in 1981. The album has been released with several different covers. The album was produced by Rupert Hine. Frontman Michael Sadler stated in the band's video DVD Silhouette that Hine told him to stop "singing like a choir boy" and actually had him climb up to the roof of a barn located on the farm in England where the recording was done in order to get the proper passion out of Sadler for the song "On The Loose". Sadler's vocal style was noticeably different on Worlds Apart than on the first three Saga albums—a style that he kept in successive performances with the band.

The regular line-up of Sascha Konietzko, Lucia Cifarelli, Jules Hodgson, Andy Selway, and Steve White was joined by a handful of musicians from other industrial and alternative metal acts. The album took about twice as long as usual for the band to produce, and underwent a significant amount of modification during its recording.
