Anaji [1] is a town in the Western region of Ghana. It is 10 kilometres from the centre Takoradi, the Western regional capital.

The town is bordered on the north by Namibia (a suburb of Takoradi), to the West by Kansaworodo, to the east by Nkroful and to the South by Effiakuma. [2]

Princes Town or Pokesu is located 5 km east of Fort St. Antonio on Manfro Hill in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region of south Ghana. It lies between Axim to the west and Sekondi-Takoradi to the east. On 1 January 1681, a Brandenburger expedition of two ships commanded by Otto Friedrich von der Groeben arrived in the Gold Coast and began to build a strong fort between Axim and the Cape of Three Points. The fort was completed in 1683 and was named Fort Fredericksburg in honour of Prince Frederick William I, Elector of Brandenburg. Because the fort was named after a Prince, it has been referred to as Princes Town. The fort was to be the headquarters of the Brandenburgers in Africa.

It was built in the early 1960s by the then president of the country Kwame Nkrumah. There are about three general plans for the buildings in the town. The houses were built by the State Housing Cooperation. Effiakuma is the forty-seventh most populous in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 35,094 people. On the outskirts of the town is the Effiakuma Zongo.

Kojokrom is a town in the Western region of Ghana. It is 12 kilometres from the centre Takoradi. It is about 2.7 kilometers from Sekondi, the Western regional capital. The town is used mainly as a dormitory town for various workers who work in the regional capital and its environs though quite a sizable number of residents also are engaged in the wood industry. Such residents either engage in trading of bulk planks of various woods or are carpenters.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly</span> Metropolitan District in Western, Ghana

Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly is one of the fourteen districts in Western Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan District in 1988, which was created from the former Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Authority Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Shama District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan District. However on 15 March 2018, the western part of the district was split off to become Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan District. The metropolis is located in the southeast part of Western Region and has Sekondi-Takoradi as its capital town.

Saviour Kwaku Adzika, popularly known as Corp Sayvee, is a Ghanaian hiplife recording artist from Takoradi. He is well known for his single "Fantefo Na Brofoa".
