"And Get Away" is a song written by Gilbert Moorer and Bill Sheppard and performed by The Esquires. It reached #9 on the US R&B chart and #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. [1] The song was featured on their 1967 album, Get on Up and Get Away. [2]

Bill "Bunky" Sheppard was a Chicago-based music promoter and music producer of the 1950s and 60s, who eventually became Vice President of 20th Century Fox Records 1978-1992. He promoted such groups as The Esquires, The Sheppards and others.

The Esquires were an American R&B group from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, principally active from 1957 to 1976.

Australian singer and songwriter Jessica Mauboy has released three studio albums, one live album, three soundtrack albums, one extended play, and thirty-five singles. Mauboy was the runner-up on the fourth season of Australian Idol in 2006, and subsequently signed a contract with Sony Music Australia. She released her debut live album The Journey in February 2007, which features songs she performed as part of the top twelve on Australian Idol.
