Anders Wilhelm Axel Wollbeck (born 10 February 1958 in Stockholm) [1] is a Swedish songwriter and producer. He plays the guitar and keyboard. He is part of the songwriting and production duo Vacuum together with Mattias Lindblom. [2]

Career

Wollbeck has worked with a number of artists in his career including Army of Lovers, Alcazar, Midi, Maxi & Efti, Vacuum, Rachel Stevens, Monrose, Tarja Turunen, Cinema Bizarre, Vengaboys and Tata Young. A number of songs co-written by Wollbeck have become international hits. He has also written and produced soundtrack music for the Tatort episode Kalter Engel. [3]

Personal life

Wollbeck is married to Marie Sundström-Wollbeck, who designed most of Army of Lovers sleeves. [4] The couple has two children and resides in Stockholm. [5]

Alexander Bengt Magnus Bard is a Swedish musician, author, lecturer, artist, songwriter, music producer, TV personality, religious and political activist, and one of the founders of the Syntheist religious movement alongside his co-author Jan Söderqvist. Bard was a member of music band Army of Lovers.

Army of Lovers is a Swedish dance-pop group which formed in 1987 and had a number of hits in Europe throughout the 1990s. Vacuum is a Swedish pop band consisting of Mattias Lindblom and Anders Wollbeck. They also work as song writers and producers under the same name. As songwriters and producers Wollbeck and Lindblom have worked with artists such as Tarja Turunen, Tina Arena, Garou, Monrose, TVXQ, Keisha Buchanan, f(x) and The Canadian Tenors. Dark Passion Play is the sixth studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. It was released on 26 September 2007 by Spinefarm Records in Finland, 28 September by Nuclear Blast in Europe and 2 October 2007 by Roadrunner Records in the US. It is the first album without original vocalist Tarja Turunen, who was dismissed in 2005, as well as the first album involving future member Troy Donockley on uilleann pipes and tin whistle. It is the first of only two albums with vocalist Anette Olzon, who was eventually dismissed in 2012 after the release of the band's subsequent album, Imaginaerum. Tuomas Holopainen has referred to this album as the "album that saved his life".

"Crucified" is a 1991 song by Swedish band Army of Lovers. It is the first single from their second album, Massive Luxury Overdose and the seventh single to be released by the band. It was released on May 1991, February–April 1992, and July 2013. It was written by Alexander Bard, Anders Wollbeck and Jean-Pierre Barda and features Barda, Bard and La Camilla. The song was successful in several European countries, including Belgium, where it reached the number-one, and Germany, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland, where it reached the Top 10. In the United States, "Crucified" became a huge club hit and radio favorite, debuting at number six on the Billboard Dance singles chart and spending a total of 14 weeks in the Top 20. The two remixes available on the CD maxi and vinyl 12" maxi are made by Nuzak. The track samples the drum break from James Brown's Funky Drummer.

Cheiron Studios was a recording studio located in the Kungsholmen district of Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1992 by Denniz PoP and Tom Talomaa, it was famous for being the place where popular music acts of the late 1990s/early 2000s such as Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Robyn, NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Westlife, produced many of their greatest hits. In addition, Cheiron Studios was also a record label in affiliation with BMG for a while, and a music publishing service, although those ventures were abandoned in favor of music production.

<i>Massive Luxury Overdose</i> 1991 studio album by Army of Lovers

Massive Luxury Overdose is the second studio album by the Swedish pop group Army of Lovers. The album was released in 1991, and the second version was released in 1992. The album contains the band's biggest hits, including "Obsession", and "Crucified", which was a #1 hit in 29 countries. The Swedish version of this album also includes three songs from their first album Disco Extravaganza (1990), which aren't included in the U.S. edition.
