"Innocence" is the lead single by Finnish singer Tarja, taken from her fourth studio album The Shadow Self . [3] [4] The single was released on August 5, 2019. [1]

Background

"Innocence" was written and composed by Tarja, Anders Wollbeck, and Mattias Lindblom, and produced by Tarja. The singer describes "Innocence" as a return to the origins from the musical point of view. The song, especially the solo piano by Tarja, is inspired by classical music.

Video

The official video for the song was released on June 24, 2016. [5] Tarja explained that "The theme of the video is about a very sensitive subject that hopefully helps people to think over it. I love the film approach to the video like a short movie". The video was shot in Buenos Aires by movie director Mariano Cattaneo. [6] In the video there are scenes performed by actors, representing a family destroyed by domestic violence. At the end of the video, Tarja breaks into the room and paralyzes the family's father with a touch, saving the mother and the child.

Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Kitee, Finland. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First (1997). Anette Ingegerd Olsson, known by the stage name Anette Olzon, is a Swedish singer, best known as the former lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish from 2007 to 2012. She is also the vocalist of Swedish classic rock band Alyson Avenue, and of the Finnish heavy metal band The Dark Element.

"Underneath" is the fourth single by Finnish singer Tarja Turunen from her third album What Lies Beneath. It was released on 22 April 2011 only as a digital version. The release has been confirmed for Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Ukraine, France and UK. It includes two unreleased versions of the song, plus a non-album track in Spanish. An exclusive limited edition 7 inches 2 track vinyl single was released in America on May 24, 2013.

Colours in the Dark is the fourth studio album released by Finnish vocalist Tarja Turunen. The record was released on 30 August 2013, in Austria, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland; 2 September in Norway, Poland, and the Czech Republic; 3 September in the United States and Canada; and 4 September in Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK. Mixing was done by Tim Palmer in Austin, Texas in the United States. Tarja started the Colours in the Dark World Tour on 17 October 2013, to promote the album. The name of the album, as the cover image, came as a metaphor from the idea that life has a large range of colors and the dark absorbs all of them, containing every color.
