Andreas Lars Johansson (born May 19, 1973) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player, currently a head coach for Modo Hockey. Johansson played professionally in the Swedish Elite League, Swiss National League A, the National Hockey League, and in the Russian Superleague. He returned to Sweden in 2009 where he finished his career. He was an assistant coach for Modo Hockey in the 2010–11 season.
Johansson began his pro career with Färjestad BK in Sweden. He was drafted 136th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft and played in the NHL for the Islanders (1995–96), Pittsburgh Penguins (1996–98), Ottawa Senators (1998–99), Tampa Bay Lightning (1999), Calgary Flames (1999–2000), New York Rangers (2001–02), and Nashville Predators (2002–04). In the 2000–01 season he played with the Swiss club SC Bern and after the 2003–04 season he went back to Switzerland where he signed with Genève-Servette HC and played with them for two seasons. In 2006/07 he returned to Färjestad. In 2007, he signed with Russian Super League team SKA Saint Petersburg. He played there for one season, but was contracted for two seasons (he did not play in the second season). Johansson then signed with Leksands IF of the HockeyAllsvenskan in 2009. However, he only played one game with Leksand before announcing his retirement due to injury. [1]
Prior to the 2010–11 season, he signed as assistant coach of Modo Hockey of the Elitserien. He left the club after the end of the season due to family issues. [2] In January 2011, he was named assistant coach for Färjestad BK of the Elitserien. [3]

The Swedish Hockey League is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The league was founded in 1975, and while Swedish ice hockey champions have been crowned through various formats since 1922, the title and the Le Mat Trophy have been awarded to the winner of the SHL playoffs since the league's inaugural 1975–76 season.
Färjestad Bollklubb is a Swedish professional ice hockey team based in Karlstad. Färjestad has had 21 Swedish Championship final appearances, winning ten times since the Swedish Hockey League was started in 1975, making them the most successful SHL club in history. The team plays in the highest Swedish league, and have done so since 1965. They and Brynäs IF are the only two teams to have constantly played in the current top tier of Swedish hockey, the SHL, since it was started in 1975. They reached the SHL championship finals six years in a row between 2001–2006, winning the championship two times. They are featured rivals with Djurgårdens IF, Frölunda HC, and HV71.
Tommy Mikael Salo is a Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender and the current general manager of Leksands IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche, and previously served as head coach of IK Oskarshamn.
Ulf Peter Jörgen Jönsson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player who last played for Färjestads BK of the Swedish Elitserien. He has represented the Team Sweden 285 times, making him the record holder for most games played in the national team. Jörgen Jönsson is also the older brother of former NHL-star Kenny Jönsson, and the two played 68 games in North America together as teammates.
HV71, often referred to as just HV, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping, playing in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the first tier of Swedish ice hockey. The team played in the 2008–09 Champions Hockey League season, and also participates in the new Champions Hockey League tournament since the 2014–15 season. Between 2008 and 2013, HV also participated in the European Trophy tournament. With the exception of a one-year stint in the 2021–22 season in Sweden's second tier, HockeyAllsvenskan, where they won the promotion playoffs, the club has played continuously in the SHL since 1986.

Kabanov also played for the Russian junior team at the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championships where he won a silver medal. Kabanov was selected 65th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Ludvig Byström is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman for Oulun Kärpät of the Finnish Liiga. He was drafted 43rd overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
The Swedish Ice Hockey Coach of the Year has been awarded to the best ice hockey coach in Sweden each season since the 1991–92 season. The award was created in honor of Arne Strömberg, and Kamratföreningen Hockeyjournalisterna is the jury which votes on the award. The award has usually gone to a coach in the top-tier league (SHL/Elitserien), although the award is not specific to the top-tier league.
