Andy Bachetti, (Born December 13, 1975) also known as "The Wild Child", [2] [3] is a dirt track race car driver from the Northeastern United States.
Andy currently drives the number 4 Steve Hough Motors/Bachetti's Auto Sales/Garrity Asphalt Reclaiming big block modified at Lebanon Valley Speedway. He also races in the number 34 Steve Hough Motors/Garrity Asphalt Reclaiming 358 small block car at Lebanon Valley Speedway. [4]
He began his racing career at the young age of ten when he began racing Go-Karts. He moved onto the mini sprint car racing division using the number 57 Bachetti's Auto Sales car. Orange County Fair Speedway became known as Andy's home track in the 1990s where he won the 358 points championship multiple times. [5]
He then moved to Lebanon Valley Speedway in New York which became, and has remained, his new home track. Andy set the lap record at Lebanon Valley in 2004 with a time of 19.645 seconds, a record that still holds true today.
Bachetti races a limited schedule of the Super DIRTcar Series, [6] in which he won a major victory at the Utica-Rome competition. [7] This includes his annual stop at Super Dirt Week at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. [5]
He was involved in the Octoberfest Racing Classic in 2000 at Flamboro, placing third, [8] and won first place at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway. [9] Then in 2001, he placed second behind Tony Stewart in the I Love New York 358 Championship. [10] [11] Bachetti won another second-place victory in the Carquest 200 in 2002, behind Brett Hearn, a multiple Super DIRTcar Series winner. [12] He won a first-place victory in the 16th Annual Octoberfest 350 for the 100-lap small block modified division in 2003, [13] along with the Race of Kings at the Lebanon Valley Speedway. [14] Another victory was awarded to Bachetti in 2003 at the Accord Speedway, where he won first place in the Interstate 86 Equipment 30-lap DIRT 358 modified feature. [15] The Coors National 200 in 2004 ended with Bachetti winning first place and $10,000, with the victory marking his first win in a 200-lap race. [16] [17] In 2006, Andy won the points title in both the 358 and big block divisions at Lebanon Valley. In 2008, he won the points championship at the Accord Speedway, snapping a streak of championships by Rich Ricci Jr. and Mike Ricci. [18] Then, in 2009, he once again won the 358 and big block divisions at Lebanon Valley Speedway. [19] He also became the first person at Lebanon Valley to win two races on the same night, four years in a row.
On 4/6/2014 Andy won the inaugural 'Hard Clay Open' 50-lap Modified race at the Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, NY.
Andy is married to Natalie Johnson Bachetti and lives in Sheffield, MA. They have 2 children; Blake, age 9 and Delaina, age 4. His occupation is full-time race car driver and enjoys hunting, fishing and snowmobiling [20]
Richard Ernest Evans, was an American racing driver who won nine NASCAR National Modified Championships, including eight in a row from 1978 to 1985. The International Motorsports Hall of Fame lists this achievement as "one of the supreme accomplishments in motorsports". Evans won virtually every major race for asphalt modifieds, most of them more than once, including winning the Race of Champions three times. Evans was elected to the NASCAR Hall of Fame on June 14, 2011. As one of the Class of 2012, Evans was one of the Hall's first 15 inductees, and was the first Hall of Famer from outside the now NASCAR Cup Series.
The Oswego Speedway is a 5/8 mile race track in Oswego, New York. It was built in 1951 and was paved with asphalt since the 1952. The track has held dates on several national tours - the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, ASA National Tour, and USAC Silver Crown Series. It was temporarily covered with dirt in 2016 when it held a one-off Super DIRTcar Series race. The track is the Labor Day Weekend home of the 200-lap, non-wing, big-block supermodified Budweiser Classic and Race of Champions.

The Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds is a North American big block modified touring series currently promoted by World Racing Group. The series primarily races on dirt ovals in the Northeastern United States and Canada along with select dates in Florida and North Carolina.
The Brockville Ontario Speedway is a 3/8 mile dirt track in the city of Brockville, Ontario, Canada. It is located on County Road 29 about 10 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of Brockville. Commonly known as "The BOS", the track has been running a weekly racing schedule for most summers since 1969. The BOS has also run Go-Karts on Wednesday nights since 2005. They race on a smaller oval on the infield of the track.
Orange County Fair Speedway is a 0.625 mi (1.006 km) dirt oval speedway in Middletown, Orange County, New York. The facility used to hold weekly stock car races and demolition derbies during the summer months. The track was built in 1857 for horse racing at the Orange County Fair and staged its first automobile race on August 16, 1919. The fair began as an agricultural exhibit in 1843 and was permanently located in the Wallkill–Middletown area in 1857. The speedway is located at 239 Wisner Avenue in Middletown on land which was known as The Ogden Tract in the mid-1850s. It was originally a half-mile horse racing track known as the Harry Clay Oval, named after a race horse that was famous at that time. Over the years, the track was widened and lengthened to a true 5/8-mile race track.
Albany-Saratoga Speedway is a 0.36-mile dirt oval on U.S. Route 9 in Malta, New York. The track features racing on Friday nights, with five different weekly racing divisions, including DIRTcar modifieds, DIRTcar sportsman, limited sportsman, pro stocks and street stocks and also four cylinder racers.
