Anel Oosthuizen (born 22 April 1995) is a South African race walker. She holds multiple South African Race Walking Records including the 20km Race Walking Record for women in a time of 1:34:49, which is also her personal best time to date.She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The Asian Race Walking Championships is an annual race walking competition for athletes representing countries from Asia, organized by the Asian Athletics Association (AAA). It was established in 2006 and has featured races for senior men and women (20 km). After the inaugural event 2006 in Wajima, Japan, the competition was split into two events: the 20 km were incorporated into the All-Japan Race Walking competitions held in mid March in Nomi, Japan. The 50 km event was held about a month later in mid April in Wajima, Japan. This is established until the year 2008. There are still annual national 50 km championships held in Wajima, but the further fate of the 50 km event within the Asian Race Walking Championships remains unknown.

Khushbir Kaur is an Indian athlete, a 20-kilometre racewalker. She first came into limelight after winning bronze in the 10,000-metre (6.2 mi) walk race at the 2012 Asian Junior Athletics Championships held at Colombo, Sri Lanka. She participated in the 2013 World Championships in the 20 km walk category. She clocked 1:34:28 and finished 39th. At the 2014 Asian walking championships in Japan, she came second with a timing of 1:33:07 and bettered her own national record of 1:33:37. In the same year, she became the first Indian woman to win a silver at the Asian Games. She received the Arjuna Award in 2017 after her consecutive victories in International sports events.

Érica Rocha de Sena is a female racewalker from Brazil. In the 20 km walk, she took 4th place at the 2017 World Championships, and 7th place at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the only Brazilian to win a medal at the IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships, after inheriting the 20 km race bronze in the 2016 race, held in Rome.
