Angelina Anderson (born March 22, 2001) is an American professional soccer goalkeeper who plays in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) for Angel City FC.

Early life

Anderson was raised in Danville, California, where she attended Carondelet High School and played club soccer for Mustang ECNL. [3]

College career

Anderson attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she made 72 appearances and recorded 242 saves. Her freshman year, she was named Pac-12 Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and Freshman of the Year. She was named team captain her sophomore year, a position she retained for the rest of her college career. Her senior year, she played all 21 games and recorded a .88 goals against average. Professional career

Angel City FC (2023–present)

Angel City FC selected Anderson 27th overall in the 2023 NWSL Draft. [1] She made her professional debut in a Challenge Cup match against the Portland Thorns on July 29, 2023, saving a penalty kick by Olivia Moultrie. [5] She would go on to make four regular-season appearances in 2023 as well as starting in Angel City's first playoff appearance against OL Reign where she became the first rookie goalkeeper to play in the NWSL playoffs since the 2013 inaugural season. [6]

After her impressive performances in her rookie season, Anderson began her second season with Angel City as the first-string goalkeeper, starting in the season opener against Bay FC. [7]
