Anglian Vipers

Anglian Vipers are an English amateur rugby league club based in Wymondham, Norfolk who compete in the East Rugby League Premier Division, in the fifth tier of the British rugby league system. [1]

The men's team was formed in 2022 and women's team in 2023, and are run by Wymondham Rugby Union Football Club. [2] The men's team finished as runners-up up in the 2023 season. [3]

The club made national news in 2024 after it was announced they were in talks with the Rugby Football League (RFL) about joining the professional structure beginning in RFL League 1 for 2025 in addition to making their women's team professional at a later date. [4] Later in the same year, they signed former South Africa internationals Dylan Venter and Mike Mavovana. [5] In July 2024 the club applied to join League 1 in the 2025 season, [6] but were unsuccessful as the RFL approved the application submitted by Goole Vikings instead. [7]

As a club, Bedford Tigers have moved to their own ground in 2018 and boast two senior sides as well as two junior sides, a satellite programme and proposed schools program too.

As the Thunderbirds the club played in the Women's Rugby League Conference and later the Women's Rugby League. As of 2024 they compete in the Northern Women's Championship.

Seven countries have hosted and/or co-hosted the Rugby League World Cup. The 2024 RFL League One is a professional rugby league football competition played in the United Kingdom and the third tier of the sport for Rugby Football League (RFL) affiliated clubs. The sponsors for the league are the bookmakers, Betfred and the league continued to be known as the Betfred League One.

Goole Vikings are an amateur rugby league club from Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire, England who compete in the Yorkshire Men's League in the fifth tier of the British rugby league system. From 2025, following a success application, the club will turn semi-professional and compete in the RFL League 1.
