Aniekeme Alphonsus (born December 25, 1999) is a Nigerian athlete who competes in sprint and middle distance races. She won a gold and silver medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay and 100m race, at the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships.
She participated in 100m and 200m race in the 2014 Nigerian Youth Championships (U18) held in Ijebu Ode (Nigeria). She claimed the gold medal after coming in 1st, with Favor Ekezie and Abolaji Omotayo Oluwaseun ending up with the silver and bronze medals respectively. [1] Aniekeme participated in the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships. At the 100m race, she came in second after Tamzin Thomas with a time of 11.83s and won the silver medal. She also participated in the 4×100 metres relay. Nigeria ended up with a time record of 44.83, a new championship record and won the gold medal. [2]
At the 2015 African Youth Athletics Championships, she participated in the Medley relay and the Nigerian team won the gold medal with a performance record of 2:08.71. She also participated in the Long jump event. She claimed the silver medal with a performance result of 5.50m. Aniekeme participated in the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games 100m, 200m, 4×100 metres relay, 4×200 metres relay and 4×400 metres relay. She came in at 11.64 earning herself a silver medal in the 100m race. With a record of 23.63 at the 200m, she came in 3rd and won the bronze medal. The Nigerian team recorded a time of 45.86 and came in first place owning the gold medal at the 4x100 metres relay. The Nigerian team also won the gold medals at the 4x200m and 4x400m relay.
2016 & 2017
At the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships - Women's 200 metres and 100m, Aniekeme participated but did not reach the semifinals. The team appeared in the 4x100m in the 2017 World Championships but did not advance to the finals.
At the All-Nigeria Track and Field Championships held at the Abuja, she claims 1st Senior 100m National title with a time record of 11.52s. [3]

Oludamola Bolanle ("Damola") Osayomi is a Nigerian sprinter who specializes in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She is a four-time gold medallist at the African Championships in Athletics and won an Olympic silver medal with Nigeria in the 4×100 metres relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She also won the 100 and 200 m sprints at the 2007 All-Africa Games.
Blessing Oghnewresem Okagbare-Otegheri is a former Nigerian track and field athlete who specialized in Long jump and sprints. She is an Olympic and World Championships medalist in the long jump, and a world medalist in the 200 meters. She also holds the Women's 100 meters Commonwealth Games record for the fastest time at 10.85 seconds. Muizat Ajoke Odumosu Alademerin is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 metres and the 400 metres hurdles. She represented Nigeria at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and competed at the World Championships in Athletics in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013. She was the bronze medallist at the 2007 All-Africa Games and went on to become the continental champion with a win at the 2008 and 2012 African Championships.

The 2013 African Junior Athletics Championships was the eleventh edition of the biennial, continental athletics tournament for African athletes aged 19 years or younger. It was held at the Germain Comarmond Stadium in Bambous, Mauritius from 29 August – 1 September. A total of 223 athletes from 29 nations competed. Neither pole vault event was held, due to a lack of entries, and the decathlon and heptathlon competitions were also not contested.
Oluwatobiloba Ayomide "Tobi" Amusan is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specialises in the 100 metres hurdles and also competes as a sprinter. She is the current World, Commonwealth and African champion in the 100 m hurdles, as well as, the record holder in those three competitions. Amusan became the first Nigerian world champion in an athletics event when she won the 2022 World Championships 100 m hurdles gold medal, setting the current world record of 12.12 seconds in the semifinal, followed up by a wind-assisted 12.06 s in the final. She won back to back Commonwealth and African titles in 2018 and 2022 in the 100 m hurdles and is also a two-time African Games champion in the event.
Salwa Eid Naser is a Nigerian-born Bahraini sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres. She is the 2019 World champion with the third fastest time in history of 48.14 seconds, becoming the youngest-ever champion in the event and also the first woman representing an Asian nation to win that event at a World Championships. The mark places her only behind contested results of Marita Koch and Jarmila Kratochvílová. At the event, at only 19, Naser was the 2017 World silver medalist. She has also won, as a member of Bahraini mixed-gender 4x400 m relay team, the 2019 World Championships bronze medal.
Filippo Tortu is an Italian sprinter with a personal best in the 100 meters of 9.99, the first Italian in history to break the 10 seconds barrier. He won the gold medal in 100 metres at the 2017 European U20 Championships and the silver medal at the 2016 World U20 Championships. He ran the anchor leg in the 4×100m relay of the Italian team that won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He won the bronze medal in 200 metres at the 2022 European Championships. He is coached by his father, Salvino Tortu, a former Sardinian sprinter who moved to Lombardy.

She won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as a gold medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2019 African Games. In 2018, she won a gold medal in the 100 metres at the Summer Youth Olympics, clocking 11.17 seconds.
