Animals on Wheels is the stage name of Andrew Coleman, an electronic musician based in Cambridge. [1]

Coleman collaborated with Adam Butler (a.k.a. Vert) to form Bovinyl, [2] an independent record label, and released his first EP, Baits Bite, in 1996. The EP is named after Bates Bite lock, an on the River Cam where Coleman lived and produced music on his houseboat. [3]

In 1997, he signed with Ninja Tune and released another EP, Cooked EP. He then went on to release various albums and EPs including Designs and Mistakes in 1997 on Ninja Tune; and Nuvol I Cadira in 1999 also on Ninja Tune. He released material on other labels as well. [4] He published the EP Dummy on the LaMadameAvecLaChien label in 2009.

Coleman collaborated with Mike King (a.k.a. iCON the Mic King / MiC K!NG) under the name Robots with Hearts. [5]

Since 2012, Coleman has been releasing tracks regularly on his SoundCloud account. [6]

The Herbaliser is an English jazz hip hop group formed by Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba in London, England during the early 1990s. Although currently releasing on their own label and having previously been signed to !K7 Records, they were one of the best-known acts from the Ninja Tune independent record label. They have released 12 albums, including two DJ mixes: one for Ninja Tune's Solid Steel series and the other for Fabric's Live Mix series. The Herbaliser's album Same As It Never Was was their first release on !K7 Records. Their latest album Bring Out The Sound was released in 2018, on the BBE label.

DJ Food released the Jazz Brakes series, with Jazz Brakes Volume 3 being the most successful. The records consisted of collections of breaks, loops and samples that could be used for mixing, remixing and producing.

She released her debut album Quarantine on Hyperdub in 2012 to critical acclaim; it was named album of the year by The Wire.
