Anirudha Sinha (born 5 November 1904,died 27 December,year unknown) was an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. He was elected to the lower House of the Indian Parliament the Lok Sabha from Madhubani in Bihar. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Anirudha Sinha was born on 5 November 1904 in Simri,Rajnagar,Bihar,to an aristocratic Chandel Rajput family. His father was Sri Janakdhari Sinha [5] . He was educated at Watson H.E. School in Madhubani.
In 1931 he married Shrimati Jogeshwari Devi,and has a total of 5 children;4 sons and 1 daughter.
From 1925-27 Sinha was Assistant Head Master of the Gandhi Vidyalaya,Hajipur. In 1928 Sinha worked as sub-editor for the 'The New Servant' in Calcutta. Sinha was appointed President of the Gandhi National Memorial Fund and the Darbangha D.C.C. from 1947-52.
During his life Sinha was dedicated to the uplifting of the Harijaiis. Sinha was also a keen sportsman and was a member of the Darbangha Town Club.
Anirudha Sinha was a part of the Provisional Parliament from 1950-52 and the First Lok Sabha from 1952-57.
The 7th Lok Sabha,was elected in 1980 Indian general election. The Lok Sabha is the lower house in the Parliament of India nine sitting members from Rajya Sabha were elected to 7th Lok Sabha after the 1980 Indian general election. Indira Gandhi became the Prime minister on 14 January 1980,after INC and alliances won 373 seats,286 seats more than previous 6th Lok Sabha. Rajiv Gandhi became Prime minister on 31 October 1984 after the assassination of Indira Gandhi. The next 8th Lok Sabha was formed on 31 December 1984 after the 1984 Indian general election. With roughly 9.3% of total MPs being Muslims,the 7th Lok Sabha had more Muslim MPs than any other in Indian history.
Satyendra Narayan Sinha was an Indian politician and statesman,participant in the Indian independence movement,a leading light of Jaya Prakash Narayan's ‘complete revolution’movement during the Emergency and a former Chief Minister of Bihar. Affectionately called Chhote Saheb,he was also a seven-time Member of Parliament from the Aurangabad constituency,a three-term Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly,and a Member of the Bihar Legislative Council once. Regarded to be one of India's most influential regional people of the time,his reputation was synonymous with being a strict disciplinarian and tough taskmaster.
