Ann Killion is an American sports journalist and author. She has written for Sports Illustrated, San Francisco Chronicle , Comcast Sportsnet, San Jose Mercury News, and Los Angeles Times . [1] She is the co-author of two books with Olympic gold medalists: Throw Like a Girl: How to Dream Big & Believe in Yourself with Jennie Finch and Solo: A Memoir of Hope with Hope Solo. [2]
Killion was raised in Mill Valley, California and has two brothers, Paul and Tom Killion. [3] She attended Tamalpais High School where she was the sports editor for the school newspaper. [4] She completed her college degree at UCLA and obtained her Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University. [5]

As of March 2013, it was the fifth largest daily newspaper in the United States, with a daily circulation of 611,194. As of 2018, the paper has a circulation of 324,500 daily and 415,200 on Sundays. As of 2021, this further declined. The Bay Area News Group no longer reports its circulation, but rather "readership". For 2021, they reported a "readership" of 312,700 adults daily.
Jennie Lynn Finch Daigle is an American former softball player. She played for the Arizona Wildcats softball team from 1999 to 2002, where she won the 2001 Women's College World Series and was named collegiate All-American. Later she led the United States women's national softball team to the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She also pitched for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch from 2005 to 2010.

The Bay Area Ridge Trail is a planned 550-mile (890 km) multi-use trail along the hill and mountain ridgelines surrounding the San Francisco Bay Area, in Northern California. As of May 2022, 400 miles (640 km) have been established. When complete, the trail will connect over seventy-five parks and open spaces. The trail is being designed to provide access for hikers, runners, mountain bicyclists, and equestrians. It will be accessible through trailheads near major population centers, but the trail will extend into more remote areas. The first trail section was dedicated on May 13, 1989.

Previously, she was an associate vice president of development at University of San Francisco and academy global director at the National Basketball Association (NBA). Azzi is a former NCAA Division I basketball coach and Azzi was also a collegiate and professional basketball player and an Olympic and FIBA world champion. On October 24, 2009, in Richmond, a city on the northeast side of the San Francisco Bay in California, U.S., a female student of Richmond High School was gang raped repeatedly by a group of young males in a courtyard on the school campus while a homecoming dance was being held in the gymnasium. Seven men faced charges related to the rape, and one was released after a preliminary hearing. Of the six remaining defendants, four eventually pleaded guilty and two were convicted at trial.

Tammy A. Vincent was a teenage runaway who was murdered in September, 1979. Her body was not identified until 2007, twenty-eight years after her death.
