Russians in Ukraine constitute the country's largest ethnic minority. This community forms the largest single Russian community outside of Russia in the world. In the 2001 Ukrainian census, 8,334,100 identified themselves as ethnic Russians ; this is the combined figure for persons originating from outside of Ukraine and the Ukrainian-born population declaring Russian ethnicity.

As part of this group she is a member of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, vice-chair in the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries and a substitute member in the Committee on transport and tourism and in Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula.

He failed to win reelection for his party in the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election.
Olena Serhijivna Sotnyk is a Ukrainian public figure, lawyer and politician, former Member of the Parliament of Ukraine from Samopomich ("Self-Reliance") Party. She was the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on European integration; Sotnyk served as a Head of the Sub-committee on Approximation of Ukrainian Legislation to the EU Law. Shed co-chaired the Inter-Parliamentary Relations Unit with Belgium. She was Chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the PACE, a member of the Bureau of Women's Parliamentarians in the Inter-Parliamentary Union and a vice-president of political group the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe in the PACE. Sotnyk was the first female to represent Ukraine in the Yale World Fellows Program. She was one of the most successful women of Ukraine in 2019 according to the "New Time" and "Legal Newspaper".
Aliona Valeriyivna Babak is a Ukrainian politician who was appointed in August 2019 as Minister of Regional Development. On 16 January 2020 she announced her resignation. On 4 February 2020 she was formerly dismissed by Parliament.

He served in 128th mountain-infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the war in Donbas.

Ruslan Mykhaylovych Sydorovych is a Ukrainian politician and lawyer, former Member of Parliament as a member of the parliamentary faction Samopomich Union. Co-chair of the "Deputy Control" union. Sydorovych again took part in the July 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election for Samopomich as its number 10 on its national election list. But in the election the party won 1 seat while only scoring 0.62% of the national vote.
Vladyslav Anatoliyovych Atroshenko is a Ukrainian politician who was the mayor of Chernihiv from 2015 to 2023. On December 7, 2022, the Yavoriv District Court removed Atroshenko of the post of mayor of Chernihiv because it was alleged that at the beginning of the war, he took his family out of shelling in an official car.
Anna Mykolayivna Kovalenko is a Ukrainian political figure, activist, and journalist. Kovalenko was the Governor of Chernihiv Oblast from 13 October 2020 until 4 August 2021, and previously served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine from 29 August 2019 until her resignation on 10 September 2019. She is a member of Servant of the People.
Nataliia Andriivna Romanova was a Ukrainian politician who served as the acting Governor of Chernihiv Oblast in 2019. She was formerly the chairman of the Chernihiv Oblast Council from 2006 to 2010. She died on 5 November 2020.
