Nikos Karvelas is a Greek songwriter, producer, and singer. He has sold millions of records as a producer and is most recognizable for his three-decade-long collaboration with Anna Vissi, while some of his other well-known collaborations include Tolis Voskopoulos and Sakis Rouvas. Karvelas has released multiple personal studio albums that have had mild to big success. In 2012, Alpha TV ranked Karvelas as the 13th top-certified composer in Greece in the phonographic era.
Nylon is a Greek album by singer Anna Vissi, released in Greece and Cyprus on September 28, 2005, and subsequently in select European countries and Taiwan. The album was released as a DualDisc on October 10, 2005, the first of its kind in Greece, and re-released on May 2, 2006 with the title Nylon: Euro-Edition as a tie-in to Vissi's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. It included many of her hits so far in live versions, as well as live covers of her early recordings back in the 1970s, as to honour Stavros Kougioumtzis and Doros Georgiadis, the first composers she collaborated with. It also featured three duets with Lampis Livieratos and Yannis Siamsiaris, who also took part in the live performance as backing vocalists. O! Kypros is the name of a Greek album by singer Anna Vissi released in Greece and Cyprus in 1995. The music featured is traditional Cypriot songs and is a dedication to her parents. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the album went to help impoverished children in Cyprus. It is Anna Vissi's first release since 1982's Eimai To Simera Kai Eisai To Chthes not to feature Nikos Karvelas either on the composition and lyrics or on the production management.
Apagorevmeno is Greek singer Anna Vissi's 25th studio album, released in Greece and Cyprus on December 9, 2008 by Sony BMG Greece. It is Vissi's first studio album since 2005 and the first since her 1981 self-titled album to not include any songs or input by Nikos Karvelas. The album was mostly produced with the Maple Jam Music Group in Los Angeles, United States, and by its head producer Greg Ladanyi.
