Brochet has appeared in films such as Cyrano de Bergerac , Le temps des porte-plumes , 30 ans , Une journée de merde! and Tous les matins du monde . She has also appeared in several episodes of the television show Voici venir l'orage... . Brochet won a César Award in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in Tous les matins du monde. [1]

Private life

Brochet lived with actor Gad Elmaleh from 1998 to 2002. They had one son, Noé. [2]

Brochet has also published four novels.

<i>Tous les Matins du Monde</i> 1991 French film

Tous les matins du monde (All the mornings of the world) is a 1991 French film based on the book of the same name by Pascal Quignard. Set during the reign of Louis XIV, the film shows the musician, Marin Marais, looking back on his young life when he was briefly a pupil of Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe, and features much music of the period, especially that for the viola da gamba. The title of the film is explained towards the end of the film; « Tous les matins du monde sont sans retour » ("all the mornings of the world never return") spoken by Marais in chapter XXVI of Quignard's novel when he learns of the death of Madeleine.

Coco is a 2009 French comedy film written, directed, and starring Gad Elmaleh. The film is based on a character sketch he created for his one-man show "La Vie Normale". The film earned $8.5 million in its opening weekend at the French box office, and went on to gross $11.7 million in the European market. Although it was a box office success, Coco was not well received by critics. It received only one star out of four from Première, Paris Match, and Télérama, and two stars from Elle and Le Journal du Dimanche.

The Round Up is a 2010 French historical war drama film written and directed by Roselyne Bosch and produced by Alain Goldman. The film stars Mélanie Laurent, Jean Reno, Sylvie Testud and Gad Elmaleh. Based on the true story of a young Jewish boy, the film depicts the Vel' d'Hiv Roundup, the mass arrest of Jews by French police who were accomplices of Nazi Germans in Paris in July 1942.
