Chopra joined the Indian iteration of the film journalism outlet The Hollywood Reporter in 2024, launched domestically in the same year by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group.

It was also the first edition of the festival since 2014 to not have a title sponsor.
The MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival took place between 17 and 24 October 2019 in Mumbai, India. It was the only edition of the festival during which actor Deepika Padukone served as the chairperson of the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI).
