She was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1977 and Independence Day Award in 1995 by the Government of Bangladesh. In addition, she was awarded the lifetime achievement award of the National Film Award in the year 2015.

Ustad Julhas Uddin Ahmed was a Bangladeshi Nazrul Geeti singer and teacher. He was awarded Ekushey Padak for his special contribution in Nazrul Geeti by the government of Bangladesh in 2017.
Deebo Bhattacharya, also known as Debu Bhattacherjee, was a Pakistani-Bangladeshi musician, painter and singer who worked in Lollywood movies during the era of 1960s and 1970s.
