Apocalypso was released in 2011, although it was recorded in 1981 and intended to be the third studio album by the band The Motels. [3]
Apocalypso was recorded between April and August 1981, but was rejected by the Capitol Records promotions department. [4] The re-worked and released album was titled All Four One . [5] Apocalypso remained unreleased until 2011. [6] [7] The album was awarded the best re-issue award by the Independent Music Awards. [8]

All About Eve was an English rock band. The initial creative core consisted of Coventry-born Julianne Regan (vocals), Huddersfield-born Tim Bricheno (guitar) and Andy Cousin, with other members changing over the years. Their highest-charting UK single was "Martha's Harbour" (1988). The band was active from 1984 to 1993, then 1999 to 2004, achieving four UK Top-50 albums. The band had been recognised for their "unique, folk-rock-influenced take" on the gothic rock style, and Regan has been described as "certainly one of the more talented singers" of the scene in the late 1980s.
The Motels are an American new wave band from Berkeley, California that is best known for the singles "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer", each of which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, in 1982 and 1983, respectively. In 1980, The Motels song "Total Control" reached No. 7 on the Australian chart, and their song "Danger" reached No. 15 on the French chart.
"Suddenly Last Summer" is a hit song by new wave band the Motels. It was the lead-off single from their RIAA Gold-certified fourth album Little Robbers. The single entered the Hot 100 at #60 on September 3, 1983, and peaked at #9 on November 19, 1983. The B-side of the 7" single was "Some Things Never Change," and the song was included on the 1990 compilation album, No Vacancy: Best of the Motels.
