In 2017, Phiri also donated money to the party as well as the then ruling Democratic Progressive Party.

Aubrey Ghambi, best known as Suffix, is a Malawian gospel rapper and songwriter. In 2020, he won a UMP Award in best gospel act. In 2018, his album titled "Before I Sleep" won the category Album of the Year in UMP Awards and he was nominated as Best Hip Hop Artist as well as Best Urban Gospel. In 2020, he won a UMP Award in Best Hip Hop artist of the year.

Martin Nkhata, better known by his stage name Martse, was a Malawian rapper, songwriter and activist. He started music journey in 2004 when he was influenced by Dzimbiri, whose real name is Mphatso Katopola, of the now defunct Khamradzi Music Group.

Mzuzu Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Mzuzu, Malawi. The stadium is mostly for football matches, on club level by Moyale Barracks FC of the Super League of Malawi and other various sport activities. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators.
