Arfa Siddiq Kakar (Pashto :عارفهصدیقکاکړه,Urdu :عارفہصدیقکاکڑ;born 28 January 1987),also spelled Arifa Siddique,is a Pakistani politician and human rights activist from the town of Muslim Bagh in northern Balochistan,Pakistan. She is a supporter of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM). [2] From 2013 to 2018,she was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate from the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP). She hails from the Kakar tribe of Pashtuns. [1]
Siddiq was born on 28 January 1987 in Muslim Bagh in the Killa Saifullah District of Balochistan,Pakistan. She has done Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Master of Arts in Political Science. [1]
Siddiq was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of PkMAP on a reserved seat for women in the 2013 Pakistani general election. [1]
On 9 February 2020,just before PTM's public gathering in Loralai to mark the first death anniversary of Arman Loni,security forces arrested Arfa Siddiq,Wranga Loni,Sanna Ejaz,and other female PTM activists as they headed to the gathering site. The security forces released them,however,when political activists gathered outside the police station to protest for them. [3] [2]

The Kharqamar incident took place on 26 May 2019 when Pakistan Army massacred activists of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM),who were holding a protest gathering near Kharqamar check post in North Waziristan,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Pakistan. To stop the demonstration,the security forces killed at least 13 PTM supporters and injured over 25 others. The military said PTM members attacked security forces before any shooting began and injured several soldiers,but the army showed no evidence to contradict the witness accounts and videos,that largely pointed to the contrary. Several PTM activists,including two members of the National Assembly of Pakistan,Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar,were arrested by the security forces after the incident and curfew was imposed in the area. Dawar,representative of North Waziristan in the National Assembly,said the gathering had been organized by peaceful and unarmed activists to protest against the alleged beating up of a woman by the military on May 25 and other human rights abuses in the area. The military alleged that the PTM leaders wanted to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists’facilitators,but PTM leaders denied this charge.

She focuses on advocacy to promote women's role in peacebuilding,reconciliation,and social activism. She was formerly the vice-president of the youth wing of Awami National Party (ANP).

The Pashtun National Jirga or Pashtun National Court,also known as the Khyber Jirga,commenced on 11 October 2024 under the leadership of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) in the Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Pakistan. The jirga was set to address key issues affecting the Pashtuns,including security concerns,political autonomy,and socio-economic challenges in the region of Pashtunistan.
