John Fife Symington III is an American businessman and politician who served as the 19th governor of Arizona from 1991 until his resignation in 1997. A member of the Republican Party, he resigned from office following convictions on charges of extortion and bank fraud – convictions which were later overturned. Prior to entering politics, Symington served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona.

The meeting was in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and hence the guidelines established are known as the Ottawa Charter. The Ottawa Charter was designed to 'achieve Health for All'.

The virus then spread rapidly through the Navajo Nation to the point that the Navajo, in 2020, had a higher per capita rate of infection than any state of the United States. The population according to the 2010 United States census was 173,667. As of September 13, 2022, the number of confirmed cases was 31,571 with 1,893 deaths.
Daniel Ruiz II is a Mexican-American and LGBTQ+ government official and an American business executive who served as the Arizona Governor Chief of Staff between 2021 and 2023 in the administration of Doug Ducey. Ruiz served in various other leadership roles in the Ducey administration from 2015 on, including Director of Media Affairs, Communications Director, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, and Chief of Operations. He left the Chief of Staff position with Ducey's departure from the Governor's office in 2023. According to the nonprofit Chicanos Por La Causa, Ruiz was the first Hispanic Chief of Staff to serve the Arizona Governor since the 1980s. He currently works as Chief of Staff for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.
