The Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling is the Academy Award given to the best achievement in makeup and hairstyling for film. Traditionally, three films have been nominated each year with exceptions in the early 1980s and 2002 when there were only two nominees; in 1999, when there were four nominees. Beginning with the 92nd Academy Awards, five films were nominated.
The Grammy Award for Album of the Year is presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales, chart position, or critical reception." Album of the Year is the most prestigious award category at the Grammys, and it is one of the general field awards alongside Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, presented annually since the 1st Annual Grammy Awards in 1959. He was best known for his work in the Terminator series, the first three Jurassic Park films, Aliens, the first two Predator films, Inspector Gadget, Iron Man and Edward Scissorhands. David Petruschin, best known as Raven, is an American drag queen, make-up artist, and reality television personality from Riverside, California. Raven was a fixture in the Southern California nightclub scene before gaining international prominence for appearing in both the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the first season of All Stars. Raven placed as the runner-up on both seasons. He also served as a "professor" during all three seasons of RuPaul's Drag U. Petruschin has been RuPaul's makeup artist since Drag Race's ninth season and has since become a creative producer of both installments, All Stars and Drag Race. David LeRoy Anderson is an American makeup artist who has won two Academy Awards for Best Makeup, first was at the 69th Academy Awards for the film The Nutty Professor, then the following year at the 70th Academy Awards for Men in Black. Both wins were shared with Rick Baker. He received his 3rd Oscar nomination at the 2005 ceremony for the film Cinderella Man, a nomination he shared with his father, Lance Anderson.

He started his career in 1996 and spent 10 years working for Madame Tussauds in London, then left to pursue his career in film and television. At the 2018 BAFTA Film Awards he won the award for Film Makeup and Hair, and at the 90th Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for his work on the 2017 film Darkest Hour. He was nominated with Kazuhiro Tsuji and Lucy Sibbick. He lives in the Buckinghamshire village of Aston Clinton.
