Arjun Singh Cheema (born 13 June 2001) is an Indian sport shooter from Punjab. He competes in the 10m air pistol discipline. He was part of the Indian shooting team that won the 10m air pistol team gold at the 2022 Asian Games, Hangzhou, China. [1] [2]
Arjun is born in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. [3] He did his schooling at Om Prakash Bansal Model School, Mandi Gobindgarh. [4] [5] He comes from a sports family. His grand father Sardar Balwinder Singh played football for India while his uncle Jagwinder Singh Cheema holds an Asian Junior Powerlifting record. [5] He started as a swimmer and took part in an International Junior Swimming Championship in Austria before switching to shooting. [5]
Arjun Singh started his professional career in 2015 under the coaches Joshi Parvez, Kumar Holinder and Jaspal Rana. In 2023, he was part of the 3-member team that won gold for India in the 10m air pistol team event at the 2022 Asian Games. [6] In 2019, he won two gold medals at the 52nd ISSF World Championshi p held in South Korea. [3] In 2018, he was also part of the Indian team that won team gold at the ISSF Junior World Cups held in Suhl and Sydney. [4] In 2018, he also won the gold at the World Championships in 50m pistol for Junior men in Changwon, Korea. [7] In April 2024, Cheema topped the second Indian Olympic qualifiers held at New Delhi ahead of Ravinder Singh and Olympic quota winner Varun Tomar. [8] [9] He also reportedly lost a bonus point due to an error by the officials. [10]
Master Chief Petty Officer Sanjeev Rajput is an Arjuna Awardee Indian sport shooter from Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. He was a retired Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Navy.
Pang Wei is a Chinese Olympic sport shooter. He won a gold medal in the 10 metre air pistol at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the same event, at the age of 20.

She won another bronze in the 10m pistol mixed team event, thus becoming the first Indian to win two medals in a single Olympic Games.
Saurabh Chaudhary is an Indian sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in 10 m air pistol and became the youngest Indian gold medalist to do so. He has won gold medals and set a new world record at the Junior World Cup. He has won gold medals at the World Championships, World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Championships. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in junior men's 10m air pistol at the 2018 World Championships.
Amit Sheoran is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. He has produced several national and international-level Indian pistol shooters. He has coached Saurabh Chaudhary.
Swapnil Kusale is an Indian sport shooter. He won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions event.
