Leighton Glynn is a Gaelic football and hurling player from County Wicklow in Ireland. He was born and raised in Glenealy, County Wicklow. He has represented the Wicklow senior GAA teams in both football and hurling. At club level, he plays hurling for Glenealy and football for Rathnew.

Sean O' (John) Farrell (1909–72) was born on a family farm in Kilcurl, Knocktopher, Kilkenny, in the village of Ballyhale. He was a well-known figure in National Farming circles through his role as managing director, National Ploughing Association and National Ploughing Championships (1958–1972), through his farming roots and recognised throughout Kilkenny GAA and Wicklow GAA sporting circles for his sporting achievements on the field and contributions to the game off the field.

It will be the first club championship to be completed in two years as the 2020-21 series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 14 November 2021 and ended on 5 February 2022.
