Arklow Town Football Club are a football club from Arklow, County Wicklow in Ireland. The club's two senior teams are members of the Leinster Senior League and the Wicklow & District Football League. The club's home ground, known as "Travers Insurances Park" as of 2022, [2] is at Bridgewater Centre Park in Lamberton. [3]

The club was founded in 1948, [1] [4] and marked its 75th anniversary in 2023. [5]

The club played in the 2009 FAI Cup, beating University College Dublin's Leinster Senior League team in the second round, before losing to the UCD first team in the third round. [6] [7]

The Leinster Senior Cup is an association football cup competition organized by the Leinster Football Association. The Leinster Senior Cup is a major rugby competition in Ireland, involving all senior rugby clubs in Leinster, i.e., clubs from Leinster competing in the All-Ireland League. Leighton Glynn is a Gaelic football and hurling player from County Wicklow in Ireland. He was born and raised in Glenealy, County Wicklow. He has represented the Wicklow senior GAA teams in both football and hurling. At club level, he plays hurling for Glenealy and football for Rathnew.

The 2013–14 FAI Umbro Intermediate Cup was the 87th season of the FAI Intermediate Cup. Intermediate clubs from the Leinster Senior League, the Munster Senior League and the Ulster Senior League entered the competition. Avondale United finished as winners after they defeated UCD Reserves 3–0 in the final in Turners Cross. As a result Avondale United also became only the second club after Distillery to win the cup four times in a row. They also became the first club to win the FAI Intermediate Cup seven times, making them the competition's most successful club.

The 2016–17 FAI Intermediate Cup, also known as the 2016–17 Umbro FAI Intermediate Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the 90th season of the national Intermediate Football competition of the Republic of Ireland. The sixteen teams that reach the Fourth Round will qualify for the 2017 FAI Cup.
