Around the World (formerly known as Newsroom International) is an international news program on CNN/US.

The show was anchored by Suzanne Malveaux and Michael Holmes. It focused on news around the globe and was based at the CNN Center in Atlanta. It assumed its last moniker on February 25, 2013.

The show was canceled in 2014, and aired for the last time on February 7, 2014.

The humanitarian response to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake of a magnitude of 9.1 was prompted by one of the worst natural disasters of modern times. On 26 December 2004, the earthquake, which struck off the northwest coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, generated a tsunami that wreaked havoc along much of the rim of the Indian Ocean. Particularly hard-hit were the countries of Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Thailand. About 230,000 people were killed, tens of thousands more were injured, and 1.7 million became homeless and displaced.

Suzanne Malveaux American journalist (born 1966)

Suzanne Maria Malveaux is an American television news journalist. She co-anchored the CNN international news program Around the World and editions of CNN Newsroom. Malveaux also served as CNN White House correspondent and as primary substitute to Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room. She joined CNN in 2002 and is based in Washington, D.C.

Michael Holmes is an Australian news anchor and correspondent for CNN International (CNNI), anchoring CNN Newsroom with Michael Holmes since 2019. The shows air between the hours of 12am and 4am Friday through Monday ET. Prior to that he anchored CNNI's CNN Today with Amara Walker. He has also anchored the 10a ET edition of International Desk and in early 2013 joined Suzanne Malveaux as co-anchor of CNN USA's Around The World at noon ET, an hour-long bulletin focusing on international news. Previously, he was the host of CNNI's behind-the-news program BackStory and other CNN International programs. He does not have a prominent lisp.

Valentina Marchei is an Italian retired pair and single figure skater. As a singles skater, she is a five-time Italian national champion. Her highest ISU Championship placements were 4th at the 2013 European Championships and 8th at the 2012 World Championships. She represented Italy at the 2014 Winter Olympics and placed 11th. Also, Marchei competed as a pair skater with Ondřej Hotárek, representing Italy. The pair finished 6th at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Highlight (band) South Korean boy band

Highlight is a South Korean boy band formerly known as Beast. The band consists of four members: Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, and Son Dong-woon. Originally a six-piece band, Jang Hyun-seung departed from the group in April 2016, and Yong Jun-hyung departed in March 2019.
