Arrowfield Stud is a thoroughbred stud farm comprising 2,500 acres in the fertile Segenhoe Valley, near Scone in the Upper Hunter Valley. Established in 1985, Arrowfield Stud is the largest Australian owned thoroughbred stud and currently stands 8 stallions including the four-time champion sire Snitzel. [1] [2]

Arrowfield Stud was established by current owner, former stockbroker John Messara, an Australian with Mediterranean heritage, who migrated to Sydney as a child.

John Messara is an Australian thoroughbred horse breeder and owner who served from 2011 to 2016 as the chairman of Racing New South Wales, a body established under the Thoroughbred Racing Act 1996 to control and regulate the NSW Thoroughbred Racing Industry. He was elected deputy chairman of the Australian Racing Board in June 2012, and served as chairman from January 2014 to December 2016. Messara has also been a Member of the Australian Pattern Committee. Messara formerly chaired the boards of Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (2007–2008) and Aushorse Marketing (2001–2008)

William Inglis and Son Pty Ltd is Australia's largest and oldest bloodstock auctioneer. The business was founded by William Inglis in 1867, and is still owned by the Inglis family, with family members actively engaged in the running of the business. Fuji Kiseki is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was the best Japanese two-year-old of his generation in 1994 when he won all three of his starts including the Asahi Hai Sansai Stakes. In the following spring he took his unbeaten run to four with a win in the Yayoi Sho before his racing career was ended by injury. After his retirement from racing he became a very successful breeding stallion. He died in 2015 at the age of 23.
