Mohammad Ashiqur Zaman (born 15 November 2002) is a Bangladeshi cricketer,who is a right-arm medium bowler. [1] He plays for Khulna Division in domestic cricket and Bangladesh A cricket team in international cricket. [2]
He made his List A debut on 15 March 2022,for the Gazi Group Cricketers in the 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. [3] He made his first-class debut for Khulna Division in the 2022–23 National Cricket League,on 17 October 2022. [4]
In November 2022,he was picked by the Comilla Victorians following the players' draft to play for them in the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League. [5] [6] In December 2022,he earned his maiden call-up to the Bangladesh A squad for their first-class series against India A. [7] [8] He played his first international match for Bangladesh A,on 6 December 2022 in the 2nd unofficial Test. [9] He made his Twenty20 debut for the Comilla Victorians in the 2022–23 Bangladesh Premier League,on 6 January 2023. [10]

The 2023 Bangladesh Premier League,also known as BPL 9 or Ispahani BPL 2023 Powered by Minister Group was the ninth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL),the top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh,organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In July 2022,after the International Cricket Council accommodated the month of January and February for this league in its Future Tours Programme,the BCB announced the schedule of the BPL for the next three seasons. Accordingly,the ninth season was scheduled to be held from 5 January to 16 February in 2023. BCB also decided to increase the number of teams to 7 and to sell the franchise rights for 3 years from this season.
