T20 kit

The India A cricket team is a national cricket team representing second-tier cricket of India national cricket team. [3] The matches played by India A receive first-class and List A classification. [3] It is a developmental team, domestic players who are about to get picked and are in contention for national team get selected in this team or some international players who are not in national team contention also sometimes play.

The team had played in NKP Salve Challenger Trophy as India Red, Its names were changed for the 2006 version of this tournament. India A became India Red. The team has won the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy four times (2001/02, 2003/04, 2004,05, 2009/10) and shared the trophy thrice (1998/99, 2006/07, 2011/12).[ citation needed ] They won the Duleep Trophy in 2024

The tournament was played in October every year until the 2013–14 season before Ranji Trophy season.

Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian former cricketer. A left-handed opening batter, he played for Indian cricket team for a decade and Delhi in domestic cricket. His batting average in ICC World Cups and Champion Trophies is 65.15, which is the highest among batters scoring at least 1000 runs in those tournaments. He was awarded the 'Player of the Tournament' in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and was the leading run scorer for India at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Siddarth Kaul, also spelled Siddharth Kaul, is an Indian professional cricketer. A fast bowler who bowls at about 130 km/h, he made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2007. Kaul was a part of the victorious India Under-19s team at the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and was named as one of the players to be drafted for the Indian Premier League, where he signed for the Kolkata Knight Riders. His father, Tej Kaul, played across three seasons in the 1970s for Jammu and Kashmir. His brother, Uday Kaul, also played for Punjab, and later for Chandigarh and Mizoram. He was a part of the Indian squad which won the 2018 Asia Cup.

Saurasish Sukanta Lahiri is an Indian former first-class cricketer who played for Bengal. He has played a 100 FC, 76 List A and 22 T20 matches for Bengal and was the captain of the team for 4 matches. He was also one of the first 5 players picked up before the 2008 IPL auction by the Kolkata Knight Riders. His most famous achievement was taking the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar twice in the same match during the 2006-07 Ranji trophy final and also during the 2006-07 NKP Salve Challenger trophy match between India Blue and India Green. He is currently the coach of the Bengal U19 cricket team for all formats and was also the coach of Bengal U23 team which was the runners-up of the 2018 edition of C.K. Nayudu Trophy and won the National U23 One day trophy in 2019. He was also the assistant coach when Bengal was the runner's up for the 2022-23 edition of the Ranji trophy. He has also been appointed as the bowling coach of India B in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 season. In June 2016 he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

The 1st NKP Salve Challenger Trophy or Kedia Cup was an Indian domestic cricket tournament that was held in Kolkata from 18 March to 21 March 1995. The series was invented to involve the domestic and national players from India to showcase their talent, and were allocated in India Seniors, India A, and India B accordingly. The inaugural edition was won by India Seniors after they defeated India A by 73 runs in the final.

Shreyanka Patil is an Indian cricketer who currently plays for Karnataka and Royal Challengers Bangalore. She plays as a right-arm off break bowler. She has also played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Women's Caribbean Premier League. She made her international debut for India in 2023.
