2024 Delhi Premier League T20 |
Delhi Premier League T20 is a Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in union territories of Delhi in India. [2] Organised by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), it was first contested during the 2024 season. [3]
The league is contested by six teams representing different zones in union territories of Delhi. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]
Almost all matches take place as back-to-back double-headers at the same venue on the same day.
A total of 33 matches took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Virender Sehwag has been the brand ambassador of the tournament. Adani Group was the title sponsor. [9] The inaugural edition of the tournament had a draft of 270 players.
Six city-based teams will compete during the school summer holidays.There will be 30 matches in the league stage of the tournament, with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-final stage. The winners of both the semi-final matches will be the finalists.

Ashish Nehra is an Indian cricket coach and former cricketer who played in all formats of the game. Nehra announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in late 2017, with the Twenty20 International match against New Zealand on 1 November 2017 at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground his last appearance. With India, Nehra was a member of the Indian team that was one of the joint-winners of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy, which the title was also shared with Sri Lanka, and was a member of the team that won the 2011 Cricket World Cup although he didn't play in the final.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium is a cricket stadium owned and operated by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) and located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi. It was established in 1883 as the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, and named after the nearby Kotla fort. It is the second oldest functional international cricket stadium in India, after the Eden Gardens of Kolkata. As of 25 October 2019, it has hosted 36 Tests, 29 ODIs and 6 T20I.
