The Football Association of Odisha League is the top state football league of the Indian state of Odisha, organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO) in association with Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha. [1] [2]
The major domestic league in the state held at Cuttack was known as Cuttack Football League until 2010 when FAO decided to restructure the league as FAO league. It continues as the top tier competition for Cuttack based football clubs. [3]
The FAO League was brought up as Siddhartha Odisha First Division League in 2010 as Odisha's premier level football league. FAO introduced the league system to provide the footballing talents of the state a platform to showcase their abilities. The league system continued with the same format for seven years, until its revamp in 2018. Since the inception of the FAO League, a total of five clubs have been crowned champions. Sunrise have won the most titles in league history, being crowned champions four times. Odisha Police have won the league twice whereas East Coast Railway, Sports Odisha, Radha Gobinda Club, and Radha Raman Club have each won it once.
In a total competition revamp, FAO League was converted to a threeptier first division highest level footballing league of the state in 2018. The First Division League currently has three tiers, Diamond, Gold and Silver leagues, followed by the Second Division. [4] [5]

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) is the governing body of football in the state of Odisha, India. The Odisha football team and Odisha women's football team are administered by the Football Association of Odisha. The FAO is affiliated with the All India Football Federation, the national administrating body for football in India.
Sports is an important part of the culture of Odisha and plays a key role in development of the state. Field hockey, athletics, association football, cricket, weightlifting, rugby union and rugby sevens are among the most popular sports in the Indian state of Odisha. Odisha is also known as the Sports Capital of India. The Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack are among the major stadiums in the state.
Rising Students Club is a professional multisports club based in Cuttack, Odisha, India. The club plays in the FAO League, the fourth tier of Indian football and top tier of Odisha state football. It played in the Indian Women's League, the top tier of Indian women's football, and currently participates in the Odisha Women's League. Rising Students Club were the champions of the Indian Women's League in the 2017–18 season.
The 2018 FAO League was the ninth season of the FAO League. Radha Raman Club were the defending champions. Chauliaganj FC entered as the promoted team from the FAO 2nd Division League. Sunrise Club of Cuttack were the champions of the inaugural edition of the tournament, beating the Rising Students Club.

The regular season started on 20 February 2019 and ended on 9 March 2019.
The 2019 FAO League was the tenth season of the FAO League, the top Odia professional football league, since its establishment in 2010. Sunrise Club were the defending champions whereas Bidanasi Club were relegated from the Diamond League last season and played in the Gold League in the 2019 edition. The FAO League is annually organised by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the official football governing body of Odisha, India. The regular season started on 24 July. Sunrise Club were the defending champions, ending up at the top with sixteen points having a positive goal difference of fifteen. Odisha Police ended their 2018 FAO League stage at the runners-up spot with sixteen points, having a positive goal difference of nine.
The 2018 FAO Super Cup was the inaugural edition of the FAO Super Cup, the main club knockout football competition of Odisha, India. The competition began on 2 October and concluded with the final on 7 October 2018. The entire tournament took place at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
The 2022 FAO Super Cup was the second edition of the FAO Super Cup, the main club knockout football competition of Odisha, India. The competition ran from 11 to 18 September 2022. The entire tournament took place at one venue i.e. the CRRI Ground in Cuttack. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the Super Cup had not been organised since 2018, and hence this edition was only the second edition of the Super Cup, after its inaugural 2018 edition. Rising Star Club became the champions, winning their first title after defeating Bidanasi Club in the final on penalties.

The FAO Women's League (FWL) is organised every year by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the official football governing body of Odisha, India. The regular season started on 20 February 2019 and ended on 9 March 2019. Sangeeta Sharma, Joint Secretary (FAO), and Geetanjali Khuntia were the chief guests in the inauguration ceremony. On 30 December 2019, East Coast Railway were crowned the champions, garnering fifteen points from eight matches.
