Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league that is annually held in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is contested by six city-based franchise teams. Sohail Tanvir is a Pakistani former cricketer, who has gained considerable international repute for his unorthodox left arm bowling action and particularly for the success it has gained him in the Twenty20 format of the game. He was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. Tanvir was the first 'purple cap' winner in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League and his best figures were 6 for 14 playing for the Rajasthan Royals. This bowling record lasted for over a decade in the IPL. His figures in the Caribbean Premier League for the Guyana Amazon Warriors against Barbados are some of the most impressive of all time. Other notable mentions in the Caribbean Premier League include an 18 ball 50 playing for the St Lucia Zouks at the Daren Sammy Stadium including smashing three consecutive sixes against Kieron Pollard. Tanvir continues to play in franchise leagues across the globe as one of the most prolific bowling all-rounders in world cricket with economical bowling figures and an impressive strike rate. Sohail Tanvir will be representing the Multan Sultans when the PSL resumes for the finals of the series in November 2020 after the team ended the league stage on top of the table. He is currently enrolled in the USA Open draft for the upcoming edition of the tournament running from 16 to 20 December 2020. In a 2020 interview, Tanvir described his 2007 Test debut wicket of Rahul Dravid in Delhi as the 'ball of his life' when the ball pitched outside leg stump and shattered 'the wall's off-stump in an unplayable manner.

Corey James Anderson is a New Zealand-born American cricketer who played as an all-rounder for both the New Zealand and United States international sides. After retiring from the New Zealand team in 2020, he announced his intention to play for the United States in 2022. He was a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Evin Earl Lewis is a Trinidadian cricket who used to also play for the West Indies as a left-handed opening batsman. At most featuring in limited-overs internationals, he's the third batsman, after Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle, to score two Twenty20 International centuries. Lewis also holds the records of the highest retired hurt score, of 176 not out, in international cricket along with the highest score, of 125 not out, by a West Indian in T20 internationals. Lewis was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup.

Deepak Jagbir Hooda is an Indian cricketer who plays in the Indian Premier League for Lucknow Super Giants and Rajasthan and for the Indian cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off break. He made his international debut for India in February 2022.

Heinrich Klaasen is a South African cricketer who plays for the South African national cricket team in limited overs cricket. He was included in the Northerns cricket team for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. In February 2021, Klaasen captained South Africa for the first time in a T20I match. On 21 March 2023, in a match against West Indies, Klaasen scored his second ODI century in 54 balls. Renowned for his adept power-hitting capabilities, he demonstrates proficiency as a wicketkeeper, coupled with exceptional prowess as a finisher within the contemporary cricketing landscape. His remarkable statistics against slow bowling, where he maintained a striking rate of 191 and achieved an average of 132 against spin during the 2023 IPL, have established him as a coveted asset for T20 franchises.

Arshdeep Singh Aulakh is an Indian professional cricketer who plays for the India national cricket team. In Indian domestic cricket, he plays for Punjab and for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. Arshdeep is a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He was an integral member of the Indian team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup, and was the joint-highest wicket taker of the tournament. Singh was also member of the Indian U-19 World cup 2018 winning squad.

The Saurashtra Premier League (SPL) is a men's Twenty20 (T20) cricket league in Saurashtra, India. The league has been formed in 2019 by the Saurashtra Cricket Association. It is usually played during summer season between May - August. First begun in 2019, it was planned to be held annually.

The 2022 Indian Premier League was the fifteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament was played from 26 March 2022 to 29 May 2022. The group stage of the tournament was played entirely in the state of Maharashtra, with Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune hosting matches.
