The Bangalore Football League is organised by the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA), [4] which is affiliated to the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) as a ladder-based state football competition involving a total of four divisions and over 130 teams in the Indian state of Karnataka. BDFA Super Division is the top-division, started in 2001. [3] The winner is awarded George Hoover trophy. Prior to 2001, the BDFA A Division was the top tier, which currently act as 2nd tier of the state leagues ladder. [5] [6]

BDFA Super Division

BDFA Super Division is the top state-level football league in the Indian state of Karnataka, started in 2001. [3] The winner is awarded George Hoover Cup. Prior to 2001, the BDFA A Division was the top tier. [5] [6]

BDFA A Division is the third tier football league in the Indian state of Karnataka. Prior to 2001, it was the top-tier league. [10] The league has 10–12 teams contesting and the top two teams gain promotion to the BDFA Super Division. [2] [11]

The 2015–16 BDFA Super Division is the thirteenth season of the BDFA Super Division which is the third tier of the Indian football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. SAI and Income Tax were promoted from BDFA 'A' Division, whereas Ozone FC, a new team launched by Ozone group, also competed in the season. Ozone emerged the champions and Income Tax and SAI were relegated to A division.

The 2017–18 BDFA Super Division was the fifteenth season of the BDFA Super Division which is the third tier of the Indian association football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. The season started on 10 November 2017. Madras Engineering Group (MEG) were the defending champions. Bangalore Independents and Jawahar Union were promoted from 'A' Division, whereas a new team FC Deccan was a direct entry team. AGORC and DYES teams were relegated to 'A' Division. Bengaluru FC fielded their newly launched reserve team, Bengaluru FC 'B'. All games were played at Bangalore Football Stadium.

The 2018–19 BDFA Super Division was the sixteenth season of the BDFA Super Division which is the third tier of the Indian association football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. The season started on 21 October 2018. Ozone F.C. were the defending champions. The league was contested by top 9 teams from 2017–18 season as well as ADE and Bangalore Eagles who were promoted from 2017–18 BDFA 'A' division. They replaced Jawahar Union and CIL who were relegated to 2019–20 BDFA 'A' Division. Kickstart FC, Bengaluru United and Bangalore Dream United were direct entry teams, thus bringing total number of teams to 14.

The 2019–20 BDFA Super Division was the seventeenth season of the BDFA Super Division which is the third tier of the Indian association football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. The season started on 2 November 2019. Bengaluru FC 'B' were the defending champions. All games were played at Bangalore Football Stadium. The league was contested by top 12 teams from 2018 to 2019 season as well as Income Tax and AGORC who were promoted from 2018 to 2019 BDFA 'A' division. They replaced Jawahar Union and CIL who were relegated to 2019–20 BDFA 'A' Division.

The 2008–09 BDFA Super Division was the eighth season of the BDFA Super Division, the third tier of the Indian football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. It began on 19 February 2009 and concluded on 9 May.

Kickstart Football Club is an Indian professional football club from Karnataka. Their women's team participate in Indian Women's League and the men's side competes in the BDFA Super Division. The club was nominated for I-League 2 in 2019 and 2021 but didn't make it to the final list approved by the AIFF.

The 2020–21 BDFA Super Division was the 18th season of the BDFA Super Division, the fourth tier of the Indian association football system and the top tier of the Karnataka football system. The season started on 12 January 2021. Bengaluru FC 'B' were the defending champions. All games were played at Bangalore Football Stadium. The league was contested by top 12 teams from 2019–20 season as well as Young Challengers and FC Deccan who were promoted from 2019–20 BDFA 'A' division. AGORC were relegated to 2020–21 BDFA A Division.

The 2021–22 BDFA Super Division was the 19th season of the BDFA Super Division, the fourth tier league in Indian football system, and Karnataka's top-tier football league. Bengaluru United were the defending champions.

Football Club Deccan is an Indian professional football club based out of Bangalore, Karnataka. The team participates in the BDFA Super Division, the fifth tier of the Indian football league system.

The 2022–23 BDFA Super Division was the 20th season of the BDFA Super Division, the fourth tier league in India, and Karnataka's top-tier football league. Bengaluru United were the defending champions.

Sporting Club Bengaluru, also known as SC Bengaluru, is an Indian professional football club based in Bangalore, Karnataka. The club currently competes in the I-League, the second tier of the Indian football league system, and the BDFA Super Division. The club was founded in 2022 by Tony Sohi, Kulbir Sohi, Adrian Wright and Kishore S. Reddy.

The 2023–24 BDFA Super Division was the 21st season of the BDFA Super Division, the fifth-tier league in the Indian football system, and Karnataka's top-tier football league. Bengaluru FC 'B' were crowned champions on 17 November 2023. They won the title without losing a game, and this was their third title.

The 2024–25 BDFA Super Division is the 22nd season of the BDFA Super Division, the fifth-tier league in the Indian football system, and Karnataka's top-tier football league. Bengaluru FC 'B' are the current defending champions, having won the 2023-24 BDFA Super Division without losing a game. Eighteen teams will contest in the league this season, one less from last year.
