The Karnataka State Football Association (abbreviated KSFA), formerly the Mysore Football Association, is one of the 36 Indian state football associations that are affiliated with the All India Football Federation. [2] The KSFA administers football in the Indian state of Karnataka. The men's and women's professional leagues operate under it. Since January 2017, N. A. Haris has been serving as the president. [3] It sends state teams for Santosh Trophy and Senior Women's National Football Championship.

Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) was started in the year of 1908, which was then known as the Mysore Football Association (MFA).

Karnataka is a state in the southwestern region of India. It was formed as Mysore State on 1 November 1956, with the passage of the States Reorganisation Act, and renamed Karnataka in 1973. Known for its heritage structures, palaces, and its culture, Mysore has been called the "City of Palaces", the "Heritage City", and the "Cultural Capital of Karnataka". Kanaka Dasa (1509–1606) was a Haridasa saint and philosopher of Dvaita Vedanta, also known as Daasashreshta Kanakadasa from present-day Karnataka, India. He was a follower of Madhvacharya's Dvaita philosophy and a disciple of Vyasatirtha. He was a composer of Carnatic music, poet, reformer and musician. He is known for his keertanas and ugabhoga, and his compositions in the Kannada language for Carnatic music. Like other Haridasas, he used simple Kannada and native metrical forms for his compositions.

Udupi Ramachandra Rao was an Indian space scientist and former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation. He was also the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Physical Research Laboratory at Ahmedabad and Nehru Planetarium at Bengaluru and chancellor of the Indian Institute for Space Science and Technology (IIST) at Thiruvananthapuram. The National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy, due to ties with FIFA also known as the FIFA Santosh Trophy, or simply Santosh Trophy, is an inter-state semi-professional national football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the launch of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic tournament in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played in the Santosh Trophy. Azeez Sait was an Indian politician who served as the Minister of State for Transport, Tourism, Labour Wakf Department and Industries and Commerce of Karnataka from 1972 to 1984. The Bangalore Football League is organised by the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA), which is affiliated to the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) as a ladder-based state football competition involving a total of four divisions and over 130 teams in the Indian state of Karnataka. BDFA Super Division is the top-division, started in 2001. The winner is awarded George Hoover trophy. Prior to 2001, the BDFA A Division was the top tier, which currently act as 2nd tier of the state leagues ladder.

Nalapad Ahmed Haris is an Indian businessman, politician and sports administrator. He is a member of the Indian National Congress and has represented the Shanti Nagar Assembly constituency in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly since 2008. He was formerly working as the Chairman of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation.

State football leagues in India represents premier-state (football), overall 5th-10th men's and 3rd women's tier of the Indian football league system. There are currently a total of 36 state associations affiliated with the national governing body, the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Kickstart Football Club is an Indian professional football club from Karnataka. Their women's team participate in Indian Women's League and the men's side competes in the BDFA Super Division. The club was nominated for I-League 2 in 2019 and 2021 but didn't make it to the final list approved by the AIFF.

A.R. Khaleel was an Indian football administrator who served as the vice president, treasurer and executive committee member of the All India Football Federation. He also served as the president of the Karnataka State Football Association for 28 years from 1989 to 2018. He was the longest serving president of the Karnataka State Football Association.
