Ashmont Hill is an American urban contemporary gospel group from Boston, Massachusetts. The group consists of four members, Deborah Bullock, Wil Bullock, April Joy Mtyora, and Phil Thompson. In 2008, the group broke through on the Billboard magazine charts with their album Ashmont Hill that was released on May 13, 2008. They released Your Masterpiece in 2010, and it charted on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. The band released The Maze in 2013, yet this did not place on any Billboard magazine charts.

Background

The Boston, Massachusetts-based urban contemporary gospel quartet Ashmont Hill started in 2008, and they are made up of four members, Deborah Bullock, Wil Bullock, April Joy Mtyora, and Phil Thompson. [1]

History

The quartet released Ashmont Hill with Comin Atcha Music, Inc. in 2008. [2] This was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, and it placed on the Christian Albums chart at No. 16, Gospel Albums chart at No. 10, and No. 47 on the Independent Albums chart. [3] Their second album, Your Masterpiece, released in 2010 by Axiom Records. [2] It charted on the Gospel Albums chart at No. 5. [3] The subsequent album, The Maze, was released in 2013, yet this time it did not chart.

He is the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he has served since June 2008.

LeJuene Thompson, is an American gospel musician and artist. She started her music career, in 2001, with the release of Soul Inspiration by EMI Gospel. This album was her breakthrough on the Billboard magazine charts, which it placed on the Gospel Albums and Christian Albums. Her second album, Metamorphosis, was released by LeCe Entertainment in 2008. She released the third album, Evolution of Me with Fontana Records.

Her solo music career began in 1997, while she has since released four solo studio albums, More Than You'll Ever Know in 1997, Lisa Page Brooks in 2001, Strong in 2009, and Ready in 2013. Three of those albums charted on the Billboard magazine charts.

Darrel Darnell Petties is an American gospel musician, worship leader and pastor. He performs urban contemporary gospel and traditional black gospel. He performs with his choir, Strength in Praise. His first album was Count It All Joy, released in 2006, from EMI Gospel. Two songs from the album, "Yes Lord" and "Thank Ya Jesus", charted on the Billboard magazine Gospel Songs chart. Two songs also appeared on the WOW Gospel Albums: in 2005, "Glory Hallelujah", and in 2007, "Thank Ya Jesus".
