Ashok Inter School Daudnagar (formerly Ashok High School Daudnagar) is a fully funded public institution of Government of Bihar under the Department of Education. It is located in Daudnagar and was established in 1929. [3] It is affiliated to Bihar School Examination Board [4] (BSEB), Patna. It offers secondary education from IXth std to Tenth Class and now provides +2 higher secondary education in XIth and XIIth. The school is updated with library and computer facilities.

Daudnagar is a town and the subdivisional headquarter of Daudnagar Subdivision in Aurangabad district in the state of Bihar, India under the Magadh division. Until 1991, there was only one Subdivision in the Aurangabad district: Aurangabad Sadar. On 31 March 1991, one other subdivision, Daudnagar, was created. Daudnagar is a 200-year-old historical city and its living proof is Daudnagar has an old historical fort situated on the eastern bank of the Son River. National Highway NH139 which connects Jharkhand's Palamu district to Patna, passes through the town.

It has adequate infrastructure, including a middle school, an intermediate high school, an additional Primary Health Centre, and a Regional Rural Bank (MBGB). Shamshernagar is an electrified village. and possesses a water tank for its water supply. It shares a border between Aurangabad and Arwal districts. Buses, auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws provide regional transportation.

Mohammad Nehaluddin is a Rashtriya Janta Dal senior leader and Bihar Legislative Assembly Member from Rafiganj Assembly Constituency. He won in 2020 Bihar Assembly Election on RJD ticket. He is a three-term MLA from the Rafiganj constituency. He defeated Independent candidate by 11 thousand votes and two term incumbent JD(U) MLA Asok Kumar Singh came a distant third.

State Highway 15 (SH-15) is a state highway in Bihar state. It covers only one districts i.e. Rohtas district of Bihar state. This state highway starts from Nasriganj near Daudnagar and ends at NH-19 near Dehri-on-Sone. The Dehri-on-Sone is situated between Sasaram and Aurangabad.

Daud Khan Fort is a historical fort located at Daudnagar in Aurangabad district in the Indian state of Bihar. It was built by the Daud Khan Quraishi, the commander-in-chief of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and then Governor of Bihar. It is recognised under the Tourism Department of Bihar.
