Ashtine Joniean Osabel Olviga (born May 19, 1999) is a Filipina actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Jasper Jean "JayJay" Mariano in the television adaptation of Ang Mutya Ng Section E by Lara Flores, which served as her breakthrough performance. [1]
Born in Calauag, Quezon Province, Olviga began her career when she joined the TV5 singing competition Born To Be A Star in 2016, where she was chosen to be part of a P-pop girl group managed by Viva. [2] In the same year, she debuted as a member of the P-pop group UGG (also known as U Go Girls). Later, in 2019, Olviga and the other UGG members joined PPOP Generation, which was also managed by Viva. [3] In 2021, Olviga was introduced as one of the five members of a new Filipino girl group, LITZ, with each member individually handpicked by Viva executive Vic del Rosario. [4] After LITZ disbanded in 2022, Olviga focused more on acting, appearing in several TV series and films, including The Ship Show (2023), For The Love: "Ligaya" (2023), Marita (2023), Road Trip (2024), Sunny (2024), Ang Mutya ng Section E (2025), and Minamahal (2025). Olviga was born on May 19, 1999, in Calauag, Quezon Province, Philippines. [6] She is the eldest of four siblings and was raised by her parents, Joanne Marie and Bernie Olviga. She has two younger sisters, Allia Astrid and Aliyanah Ashley, and a younger brother, Anderson. [7]
Before her P-pop debut in 2016, Olviga attended Harmony Christian Education Foundation, Inc. in Lucena City, Quezon Province. [8] Due to her hectic training schedule, she decided to pause her college studies. As of 2025, she has expressed her intention to pursue a college degree.
In 2016, Olviga joined the TV5 singing Competition Born to Be a Star, where she was chosen to be part of a P-pop girl group managed by Viva Entertainment. [2] Later that year, she debuted as a member of the girl group UGG (U Go Girls), which performed at several television and music events under Viva's management. [9] While promoting her P-Pop group, Olviga also began taking on minor roles in film and television. In 2016, she participated in the romantic comedy film Bakit Lahat ng Gwapo May Boyfriend?! (2016). As a member of UGG, Olviga contributed as a vocalist to various group's singles, including "Ikaw Na" [10] (2016), "Kalimot" [11] (2017), and "Dati" [12] (2018).
In 2018, she took part in the hit comedy-drama Miss Granny as part of UGG's cameo appearance, followed by a role in Sisters Forever (2019) as Jenny. [13] In the same year, Olviga and some of the members of UGG became part of PPOP Generation, another girl group managed by Viva. While in the group, she recorded and performed "Sabihin Mo Na" (2019) [14] , her first solo rendition, as well as "Boom Ganda" (2019) with the group. [15]
In 2020, Olviga appeared in the series Tropang Torpe as Elaine [16] and released her second solo rendition, "Ulan", establishing both her interest in acting and her musical activities. [17]
In 2021, Olviga was introduced as one of the five members of the new girl group LITZ with members individually handpicked by Viva executive Vic del Rosario Jr. The group debuted with their single "Natataranta" (2021) , followed by "Kidlat" (2022). [4]
After LITZ disbanded in 2022, Olviga began focusing more on acting, marking her transition from a P-pop performer to a rising screen actress.
In 2023, Olviga fully focused on acting, appearing in several television series and films. On the series, she played Tin in For the Love and Diane in Team A. In film, she took on the roles of Mitzie in Will You Be My Ex?, Tintin in The Ship Show, and Cristina in Marita, demonstrating her versatility across romantic and dramatic genres.
She also continued her music career with solo and collaborative releases. In 2024, she released a collaborative rendition of "Kiss (Never Let Me Go)" featuring Ethan David. [18] That year, Olviga also appeared as Osang in the comedy sitcom Da Pers Family [19] and starred in the films Sunny as Young Gwen [20] and Road Trip as Young Maricar. [21]
In 2025, Olviga achieved a major breakthrough with her role as Jasper Jean "JayJay" Mariano in the series adaptation of Ang Mutya ng Section E by Lara Flores. [1] She also released a rendition of "Sa Bawat Sandali", which served as the official soundtrack (OST) for the series. [22] That same year, she starred in the romantic drama film Minamahal as Luna, her first lead role. [23] Additionally, she released "Sa Panaginip Na Lang" [24] and "Minamahal" [25] , featuring Andres Muhlach, both of which were used as OSTs for the film Minamahal.
