Asif Ali Khan Durrani is the current Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran since 2016. [2] Earlier in his career,he served as ambassador to the UAE until 2016. [3] [4]
Asif Ali Khan Durrani originally hails from Quetta where he was born to a Durrani tribe of Pashtuns. Durrani holds a Master's degree from the University of Balochistan in Quetta,and a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies,University of London. [5] [3] He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1986. He served in various diplomatic postings in New Delhi,Tehran,New York,Kabul and London. [5]
Transport in Pakistan is extensive and varied. In recent years,new national highways have been built,with the addition of motorways which have improved trade and logistics within the country. Pakistan's rail network is also undergoing expansion in recent years. Airports and seaports have been built with the addition of foreign and domestic funding. Transportation challenges in Pakistan are escalating due to poor planning,inadequate governance,and corrupt practices.
Quetta is the capital and largest city of the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It is the ninth largest city in Pakistan,with an estimated population of over 1.5 million in 2024. It is situated in the south-west of the country,lying in a valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. Quetta is at an average elevation of 1,680 metres above sea level,making it Pakistan's highest altitude major city. The city is known as the "Fruit Garden of Pakistan" due to the numerous fruit orchards in and around it and the large variety of fresh and dried fruits produced there.
Mirza Aslam Beg,also known as M. A. Beg,is a retired Pakistani four-star rank general who served as the third Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army from 1988 until his retirement in 1991. His appointment as chief of army staff came when his predecessor,President General Zia-ul-Haq,died in an air crash on 17 August 1988.

Ahmad Shuja Pasha is a retired three-star rank army general of the Pakistan Army. He was the 24th Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI),the main intelligence agency of Pakistan,from October 2008 until March 2012. He was due to reach the age of superannuation on 18 March 2011 but received an extension of one year,and retired in March 2012. Pasha was succeeded by Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam. In 2011,Pasha was named as one of the world's 100 most influential people by Time magazine.

He is the founder and President of the Pakistan Cave Research &Caving Federation (PCRCF) and the Director of the Asian Canoe Confederation (ACC).
Hussain Ali Yousafi was an ethnic Hazara politician in Balochistan,Pakistan. Yousafi was chairman of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) and a member of the Quetta city council. He was assassinated by unknown militants in 2009.

Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan is a non-profit government adventure sports association in Balochistan,Pakistan. It consists of young boys and girls dedicated to the promotion of mountain adventure,sports climbing and associated sports. Its goals are to protect the new generation from dangerous drug abuse,by providing them with healthy sporting opportunities,organizing training camps,and national and provincial level event expeditions. 95% of all the players receiving training from CAAB are students of schools and colleges in Balochistan. The activities of the CAAB are financed by self-help,donations,and subscriptions of members and annual grant-in-aid from Balochistan Sports Control Board (BSCB) Quetta.
Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was a Pakistani jurist who was the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan from 25 March to 5 June 2013. Khoso was a judge who previously served as the chief justice of the Federal Shariat Court and served as the caretaker prime minister ahead of the general elections scheduled in May 2013.
Brigadier Sikandar Khan was the commander of the artillery corps of the IV Corps in Pakistan Army. He was due to retire in 2014,but voluntarily retired in 2013 as a one-star general to run his own security company,Ever Ready Security Management (Pvt) Ltd. He was offered to be the director of National University of Modern Languages after his retirement but he respectfully declined to focus on expanding his security company. Khan has been awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his distinguished service.
