The Association of Canadian University Presses/Association des presses universitaires canadiennes (ACUP/APUC) is an association of Canadian university presses. [1] [2] As a collective, the presses that make up the association publish around 600 titles annually, most of which are either authored by Canadians or about Canadian subjects. [3] ACUP/APUC is a member of the International Federation of Scholarly Publishers. [4]
In late 2023, the Association of Canadian University Presses entered into a distribution partnership with De Gruyter. Under the terms of this agreement, the books published by the 17 ACUP presses will be made available via De Gruyter's "University Press Library" platform. [5]

Corpus linguistics proposes that a reliable analysis of a language is more feasible with corpora collected in the field—the natural context ("realia") of that language—with minimal experimental interference. Academics also utilize their IRs for archiving published works to increase their visibility and collaboration with other academics However, most of these outputs produced by universities are not effectively accessed and shared by researchers and other stakeholders As a result academics should be involved in the implementation and development of an IR project so that they can learn the benefits and purpose of building an IR.

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) is a non-profit research initiative that is focused on the importance of making the results of publicly funded research freely available through open access policies, and on developing strategies for making this possible including software solutions.
