Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) is the umbrella body that regulates the activities of industries in Ghana. The body also lobbies the Government of Ghana on issues that affect industries in the country. [1] [2]
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa. Spanning a land mass of 238,535 km2 (92,099 sq mi), Ghana is bordered by the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, Togo in the east and the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean in the south. The association, together with the Qingdao Cross border E-commerce Association, arranged a corporate and industrial partnership building convention in July 2019 in the city of Qingdao, China. Over 20 Ghanaians attended the summit whilst the Chinese delegation had more than a 100 members. The conference included factory visits to firms in Qingdao. [3] There was also business trip to Zaozhuang to seek industrial opportunities in the Shandong Province. [4]

Since January 2019, the smallest prefecture-level city in the province, it borders Jining to the west and north, Linyi to the east, and the province of Jiangsu to the south. The Battle of Taierzhuang occurred in the city during the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1938.

Today, it consists of Chinese industrialists and business people under the leadership of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China, as well as being a constituent organization of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the holder of a number of seats in the National People's Congress. The organization assists the government in managing China's private economy and acts as a bridge between the private sector and the government.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was established by NLC Decree 293 of October 10, 1968 amended by NLCD 329 of 1969, and re-established in its present form by CSIR Act 521 on November 26, 1996. The genesis of the Council however, dates back to the erstwhile National Research Council (NRC), which was established by government in August 1958 to organize and coordinate scientific research in Ghana. In 1963, the NRC merged with the former Ghana Academy of Sciences, a statutory learned society. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, also known as "Auntie Joyce", is a Ghanaian former politician, reverend minister and business person. Aryee is recognized for having served Ghana for more than 40 years in both the public and private sectors. She is the previous Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and was the first woman in Africa to have held that role. She has also held political roles in Ghana from the early years of the PNDC government. She is currently the Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries, a para-church organization.
Shandong Hi-Speed Group Corporation or Shandong Gaosu Group, (SDHS), is a solely state-owned enterprise in Jinan, China, owned by the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It is mainly engaged in investment, construction and operation of highways, expressways, bridges, railways, rail transits, harbours, shipping and logistics. It also sets foot in construction, building material, information, financing, real estate and other sectors related to its main business. In June 2011, SDHS opened the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge spanning more than 40 kilometers between Qingdao and Huangdao District in Shandong, making it the longest cross-sea bridge in the world.

The Ahafo Region is a newly created Region in Ghana with Goaso as its capital. The region had administrative and governmental legislature like all the ten already existing regions in Ghana. The region was carved out of the south-eastern part of the Brong Ahafo Region and was in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by New Patriotic Party. Prior to the 2016 Ghanaian general election, the then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo declared that when elected, he would explore the possibility of creating new regions out of some of the existing regions in Ghana in order to bring government closer to citizens.

The Bono East Region of Ghana is a new region carved out of the existing Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. The capital of the new region is Techiman. This creation of this new region was in fulfillment of a promise made by the New Patriotic Party prior to the 2016 Ghana general election. Upon winning the elections, the President, Nana Akuffo Addo created the Ministry of Regional Reorganization to oversee policy formulation and implementation. In all six new regions are to be created from the existing ten regions of Ghana. The other regions are Western North, Ahafo, Savannah, North East, and Oti regions.
