The Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) was an NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey conference which operates primarily in the northeastern United States. It participated in the NCAA's Division I as an ice hockey-only conference. Unlike several other college athletic conferences, Atlantic Hockey had no women's division, though it shared some organizational and administrative roles with the women's-only College Hockey America (CHA).
The Moncton Aigles Bleues women's ice hockey team represents the University of Moncton in U Sports women's ice hockey. The Aigles Bleues compete in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Conference in the U Sports athletic association. The program has won three conference championships and has made four national championship tournament appearances with their best finish occurring in 2009 with a bronze medal victory.
The 2003–04 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 3, 2003 and concluded with the 2004 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament's championship game on April 10, 2004 at the Fleet Center in Boston, Massachusetts. This was the 57th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held and is the 110th year overall where an NCAA school fielded a team. The 2003-04 season was the inaugural year for the Atlantic Hockey Association after the discontinuation of Division I ice hockey sponsorship by the MAAC at the conclusion of the previous season.

The Atlantic Hockey Regular Season Scoring Trophy is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey regular season to the player(s) that finishes with the highest point total. Atlantic Hockey is the only Division I conference that formally recognizes its scoring champion.
The Atlantic Hockey Most Valuable Player in Tournament is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Atlantic Hockey conference tournament to the most valuable player in the championship as voted by the coaches of each Atlantic Hockey team. The recipient of the tournament MVP has come from the championship team each time it has been awarded. (as of 2013)
